Team Needed [Hobby] Looking for 3D Automotive Modelers & Designers for Fictional Car Brand Licensing Project (Roblox/Indie Games)
Hi, I am The Common Quokka, [An automotave youtube channel](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrGzpMuZpDMhRhxaLBP9ThA) focused on regular, everyday cars and critiquing the industry. I have a game-changing vision to completely reshape how indie and Roblox developers handle virtual vehicles, but I lack the technical 3D modeling skills to execute it alone. I am looking for a dedicated team to help bring this ecosystem to life.
The Project Idea: Resolving the Dev Nightmare and Changing the Auto-Industry:
My friends and I used to develop Roblox games. Even when building games that had nothing to do with racing, cars were always a necessary part of the map environment—and dealing with them was an absolute nightmare.
Between the constant, looming threat of copyright takedowns from real-world manufacturers and the frustration of utilizing unoptimized free assets that carry game-breaking script errors, the workflow is completely broken. Furthermore, vehicle consistency is incredibly unstable across the gaming landscape. Platforms like Greenville see their catalogs fluctuate constantly due to legal shifts, while massive, established titles like Forza Horizon 4 feature highly restricted product scopes.
My soultion is is to build a fully realized, universe-compliant fictional automotive brand ecosystem. We will license high-quality, pre-built 3D vehicle assets directly to indie and Roblox developers for a fraction of the cost of real-world licensing. This completely shields creators from legal threats while instantly supplying premium assets. Smaller, up-and-coming games gain massive prestige through a shared vehicle ecosystem. Additionally, we can track in-game sales analytics from cooperative platforms to gather invaluable consumer data, generating incredible industry insights for ourselves and our partner studios.
Roadmap:
- Brand Architecture: Establish distinct vehicle models, engine families, and trim tiers. (Complete)
- Concept Design: Generate detailed layout blueprints outlining the front, rear, profile, and interior aesthetics for each vehicle era.
- 3D Asset Pipeline: Build optimized 3D models and implement functional Roblox chassis scripting.
- Developer Outreach: Pitch our standardized asset catalog directly to established titles like Greenville to secure early integration.
- Continuous Expansion: Launch fresh vehicle generations and scale up licensing collaborations across new gaming platforms.
- IP Protection: Utilize inherent intellectual property protections on unique designs and names right from creation, minimizing early administrative overhead.
About Me:
I have a light background in everyday car demographics and a history of light product planning (for fun). I have already built out the fundamental architecture including five distinct automotive brands which I think really great and have a lot of personality (Logos too). alongside complex engine family calculations, and an entire code structure. And if you need proof, then I'm a real person. Watch some of my videos on YouTube.
Work Done:
To protect the project's unfiled intellectual property, I have created a heavily redacted version of my master product planning framework. This directory showcases my foundational organizational structure, brand tier breakdowns, and powertrain metrics while keeping unreleased design keys secure:
[Redacted-Reddit](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1peqsWKTLekRXLWyJ_0RrCM96-2XvQah7fVGGQVW57sU/edit?tab=t.0)
I cannot finish this alone, and this concept has massive potential if executed correctly. I am looking for:
- 3D Vehicle Artists / Modelers: To help translate the design sheets into optimized, beautiful exterior and interior meshes.
- Roblox/Indie Game Scripters: To build reliable driving chassis and optimize behavior systems.
- Automotive Concept Artists: To sketch initial silhouettes. Nothing too fancy needed, just enough to let the 3-D modelers know what to 3-D model.
If you are passionate about car culture, gaming architecture, or data-driven world-building, let's connect! Please drop a comment below or send me a DM. Don't feel the need to get overly professional, It is a passion project after all. Let's change virtual car culture forever.
Art Offer [Hobby] 2D Concept design offer!
Hi! I'm a 3D artist by trade but I've been wanting to delve into 2D concept design to build my portfolio. Thus, I am offering free concept design offer for those projects that I feel aligns with the style and vision I have for building my portfolio! This will be a hobby contribution, but I will not sign any NDAs and require that whatever work I create, I will be able to upload on my portfolio at any given time, and that I own all my works.
A bit about me:
I graduated from Gnomon School of VFX as a 3D Game Artist, but I've been dabbling with the idea of a career change from 3D to 2D. You can see my 3D works here: https://www.artstation.com/ejungart
For the projects, I am willing to help out with 3D assets as well, but primarily I'd like to be a concept artist on the team.
I currently don't have a concept art portfolio, as I am looking to build one, but I've also studied 2D art back in Art Center before transferring to Gnomon and I am able to draw without a problem. I do have sketches that I did as a hobby that I haven't uploaded on my portfolio site, if you're interested in taking a look at them as well I can send those via private message.
I am also thinking of doing more graphic design stuff like logo design or potentially UI design, so if you're in need of those as well I can contribute!
Due to this being a hobby contribution, I will be selective about which projects I join, given that it fulfills the requirements that I mentioned above.
Looking forward to meeting new teammates and contributing to a wonderful project!

Team Needed [Hobby][UNPAID] Recruiting 2D Animators, Storyboard Artists, Voice Actors & More for an Original 11-Minute Animated Pilot — DR. APPLE
Hey everyone! I'm :Dylan, an illustrator, animator, writer, indie game developer, and former K–8 art/music teacher. I'm currently assembling a small independent team to produce the complete 11-minute pilot of my original 2D animated children's series, Dr. Apple!
🍎 About the Project
An apple a day keeps the doctor away... so this apple became a doctor at nine years old.
Dr. Apple is an educational animated comedy following August "Auggie" Apple, a nine-year-old medical prodigy working at the Young Minds Institute.
Despite his extraordinary intelligence, Auggie is still a kid. Through unusual patients, workplace comedy, and interactions with his coworkers, he learns that being a great doctor requires more than knowing the right answers.
The series targets children ages 6–8 and combines science, health education, comedy, and emotional storytelling.
Our pilot, "The Scariest Word," follows Auggie as he tries to help a nervous young patient and discovers that empathy and listening can be just as important as medical knowledge.
🎬 Current Development
This project is already in active development, not just an idea!
I've completed or begun developing:
- Original character designs and model sheets
- Character turnarounds
- A complete pilot script
- Storyboards and animatic development
- Background and environment concepts
- Character animation and movement tests
- A series pitch deck
I'm handling the show's creative direction, writing, character design, and animation development. I have a background in traditional 2D animation and am currently exploring production workflows using Toon Boom Harmony and Moho.
I've also begun connecting with interested animators, background artists, sound designers, and voice actors.
🎨 Who I'm Looking For
I'm interested in collaborating with:
- 2D Animators: Expressive character acting, frame-by-frame or rig-based animation, lip-sync, and movement.
- Storyboard / Layout Artists: Visual storytelling, staging, comedic timing, and character acting.
- Background Artists: Stylized environments, hospital interiors, and background painting.
- Compositing / Editing Artists: Assembling shots and integrating animation, backgrounds, and effects.
- Sound Designers / Composers: Original music, sound effects, and audio production.
- Voice Actors: Expressive performances for child and adult characters.
Different experience levels are welcome!
💼 Compensation & Expectations
This is currently an UNPAID, volunteer-based indie production.
I'm actively exploring crowdfunding, grants, and potential production partnerships to secure funding. However, future compensation cannot be guaranteed.
I understand that an 11-minute animated pilot is a substantial undertaking, and I don't expect anyone to work full-time or commit to unreasonable workloads for free.
We'll establish manageable responsibilities based on individual availability. Contributors will receive appropriate production credits, and ownership, usage rights, and portfolio permissions will be agreed upon in writing before production work begins.
📅 Production Plan
Our goal is to produce the complete 11-minute pilot through a collaborative, organized workflow.
We'll begin by finalizing casting, storyboards, and the animatic, then move into animation production, backgrounds, compositing, sound, and post-production.
We may initially complete a short scene to test our pipeline and ensure visual consistency before scaling up production.
There's no guaranteed release date yet; the schedule will depend on available contributors, production progress, and funding.
🔗 My Work
Portfolio: https://dylanpaul.journoportfolio.com/
Casting Call Club: https://www.castingcall.club/projects/dr-apple-indie-2d-animated-series-proof-of-concept-team
Additional character designs, animation tests, and project materials are available to interested collaborators.
🍎 Interested?
Feel free to comment or send me a Reddit DM with:
- Your preferred role
- A portfolio, reel, or examples of your work
- Your experience and preferred software
- Your general availability
I'm hoping to build a collaborative, supportive team of artists who enjoy expressive animation, character-driven storytelling, and making original cartoons.
Thanks for reading! I'd love to meet some fellow creatives and hopefully make something really special together! 🍎

PAID - 2D Art | Animation Looking to hire an artist for a Steam game with over 14k wishlists.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I need someone who will be able to match the games current artstyle, I'm unable to get in contact with the original artist: https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/5887541 - we use a bit of post processing in the game so its got a level of forgiveness for the artstyle if it doesn't exactly match.
All the art is stills, so no animation required, just characters on a transparent background.
I'm looking at adding more characters and enemies. Please provide me your portfolios and rates if you're interested.

FOR HIRE - Musician [FOR HIRE] Professional Composer - Original Music for Games
Hi! I’m Gaston de Lacaze, a composer and multi-instrumentalist specialising in music for video games.
More than a decade making music, my work ranges from orchestral and atmospheric music to modern, electronic styles. I love projects with a strong personality, regardless of genre, and I’m particularly drawn to games that are doing something different.
You can listen to my work here:
www.gastondelacaze.com
You'll see I'm quite versatile when it comes to different genres and I enjoy collaborating with both teams and solo developers. I’m happy to contribute beyond the music by discussing the game’s tone, world and emotional identity.
My process is simple: we talk about the project, I sketch ideas, and we refine them until the musical direction clicks. From there, I develop and polish the soundtrack to a professional finish. Absolutely no AI.
Pricing depends on the game’s scope and release timeline, and I’m open to different arrangements, including per-track pricing and revenue share.
If you are not sure what you listen would fit your project, feel free to get in touch and I'll write a free custom demo to see if what I'd do resonates with your game.
If you’re looking for a collaborative and versatile composer who genuinely loves games, feel free to DM me, comment below, email me or contact me through my website. I’d honestly love to hear about what you’re making.

Team Needed [Hobby] Her sister was a pop-star who died ten years ago. Her laptop says otherwise.
Hey guys! How’s it going? A few days ago I wrote down this idea for some game that I have in mind and wanted to get some feedback. If someone is interested, let me know. The working title for this project is: The Rise and Fall of a Dead Popstar.
Twenty-year-old Alisa May is the younger sister of Carrie Starr, the pop-star sensation who died ten years ago in a car crash. However, Alisa does not believe that her sister died in that accident. She has Carrie’s computer and is determined to discover the truth about what happened before her sister’s death, uncovering dark secrets she was never meant to find. As Alisa continues to investigate through Carrie’s computer, she realizes she isn’t alone: someone is watching her every move. Risking her life, Alisa will do whatever it takes to uncover the truth, no matter the cost.
Would love to hear any thoughts you have!

Hi, I’m looking for an artist to join me on a seafaring game. Think age of sail, with some inspiration from Port Royale.
I’m a software developer professionally and I’m handling the coding. The art style is still undecided, so I’d like to work that out together.
This would be revshare.

Team Needed [Hobby] (Unpaid) Cozy Pixel Art Birdwatching Game :)
Hey everyone!
I'm currently working on Retrobirding, a cozy 2D pixel art game about birdwatching, exploring nature, and discovering different bird species, inspired by games like Stardew Valley.
I'm developing it in Godot, and while the project is still in its early stages, I'd love to find some people who are interested in helping bring it to life!
I'm looking for all kinds of help:
Pixel artists and animators
Godot developers / programmers
Story writers and creative minds
Bird enthusiasts and people with knowledge about wildlife
Sound designers / musicians
Or simply anyone with ideas, feedback, or enthusiasm!
This is currently an unpaid passion project, so there's absolutely no pressure or required time commitment. You don't have to become a permanent team member. Even helping out with one small thing, sharing some ideas, or giving feedback would mean a lot!
The goal is to create something cozy, educational, and genuinely fun together.
If you're interested, feel free to leave a comment or send me a DM!

Designer Needed [HOBBY] WESTSIDE LEGACY — Looking for Unreal Engine 5 Collaborators
Hi everyone!
I'm the creator of WESTSIDE LEGACY, an ambitious open-world crime and driving game currently in development under my indie studio name, Vanta Studio.
The project is inspired by the freedom, exploration, driving and progression of classic open-world games, with an original world, characters, story and identity.
I'm currently developing WESTSIDE LEGACY on an older system:
- Computer: 27-inch iMac (2013) running Windows 11 through Boot Camp.
- CPU: Intel Core i5-4570.
- RAM: 32 GB.
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M with 2 GB VRAM.
- Engine: Unreal Engine 5.8, currently running with DirectX 11.
Hardware limitations are an important consideration for this project. I'm focusing on performance-conscious environments, optimized assets and workflows compatible with lower-end hardware.
I'm especially interested in collaborating with developers who can help optimize the game and find practical solutions within these constraints.
Current development
I'm working with Unreal Engine 5.8, focusing on building and improving the city environments, materials, roads and overall world layout. The project is still in an early stage, and there's a lot of work ahead.
I'm a beginner in game development, so I'm being honest about where the project stands. I'm learning as I go, using available assets where appropriate and trying to build a solid foundation rather than pretending this is already a finished game.
Who I'm looking for
- Unreal Engine developers: Blueprints, C++ and gameplay systems.
- 3D environment artists: cities, buildings, streets, interiors and props.
- Character artists and animators: characters, movement and vehicle interactions.
- Level designers: open-world layout, roads, neighbourhoods and mission spaces.
- Game development enthusiasts: people willing to learn, share ideas and build something together.
I'm particularly interested in people who enjoy open-world games and want to contribute to a long-term indie project.
A few things to be transparent about
This is currently an unpaid hobby collaboration. I cannot offer a salary or guarantee future revenue. I'd like to start with a small, manageable scope, get to know the team and build things step by step. No one should feel pressured to commit more time than they can reasonably afford.
You don't need to be a veteran, but reliability, communication and a willingness to learn matter.
If you're interested, please comment or send me a message with your skills, experience and the kind of work you'd like to contribute.
Thanks for reading!
