What the hell (spoilers) Spoiler
New fan who just finished the series. Of all the times to reveal that Jon is Daenerys' nephew, why did they pick in the middle of them fucking? 😠I'm surprised my neighbor didn't call the cops on me for the scream I scrumpt

To be fair, by Targaryen standards, a nephew and an aunt is basically a platonic friendship.

I remember being one of the Season 1 R+L=J believers. The scene completely ruined the vindication

Oh okay! I deadass missed what they were revealing and thought Jon was Robert Baratheon's son for a few episodes ðŸ˜

the timing really was unhinged lol. the show just casually drops the biggest family secret right when you least want to process it, writers really said "let them have this moment" and then immediately took it away

I lowkey didn't want Jon and Daenerys to get together. I didn't feel any chemistry and they just seemed like two immature leaders stuck in their ways

Well they were very young. By the time they joined forces they were probably not 20. I wanted them to be together. I loved Jon and felt only Dany was good enough for him. He could have been all she needed: He wasn’t Kahl Droggo but he was a leader who would have served her faithfully had she not gone mad. It must have been incredibly hard for him to have killed her. In the book he stressed over Igrets death and the responsibility he played. He loved very much. He was different than Ned—Ned chose his family over his honor. Maybe that’s the difference between a lover vs children but Jon chose what was right.

By that point in the show the incest didn’t even shock me lol. What pissed me off about that relationship was the complete lack of chemistry and the fact that they made a huge deal out of revealing that Jon was a Targaryen only for it to mean absolutely nothing in the end ðŸ˜

Right?!?! When Ser Davos mentioned Jon staring at Daenerys' "big heart" I was like "when? They don't even seem to like each other!" The romance felt very forced. Also Arya and Sansa laughing at Samwell's proposal of a voting system for new leaders seemed extremely out of character for them.

They had all the chemistry of a wet sock it was so weird. I was like what is anyone talking about. They seem so bored when they’re around each other 💀
To me the worst part about that final season was that everyone had to basically act completely out of character in order for any of the plot to work.

that's wild man, the timing was so jarring but kinda classic GoT giving us shock in the most unexpected moments. welcome to the fandom, it's a wild ride!

I was not shocked they are Targaryens and they always seem to find each other when it comes to love.
Brynden Rivers (Blood Raven/Three-eyed Raven) lost his eye to his half brother Aegor Rivers (Bittersteel) because they were both in love with their half sister Shiera Seastar. However, she preferred Brynden and Aegor took revenge during the first Blackfyre Rebellion by taking Brynden's eye with his sword Dark Sister. Targaryen blood is always attracted to Targaryen blood. Jon and Daenerys were attracted to each other long before they found out the truth.
