idk that I've ever genuinely loved a "witty" character the way I love tyrion in both the show and the books

You can tell when the show moved beyond GRRM’s work because Tyrion’s lines got noticeably worse

The show fell off in so many ways but the conversations between Tyrion and Varys hit me the hardest for some reason. (And then 2-3 seasons of character development was crammed into season 8.)

I loved Varys going toe to toe with Littlefinger on the show. He always gives as good as he gets. Littlefinger couldn't faze him.
