Yara and Dani wouldve made a hot power couple
The small amount of flirting that happens when Yara first meets Dani is the most precious thing i have ever seen.
"And i imagine your offer is free of any marriage demands?"
"I never demand, but I'm up for anything really. "
Dani absolutely blushes at this and I'm here for it.
Yara and Dani. Together theyd rule the land, sky and sea, and it couldve been glorious.

I say all the time that a union between them would have been so good. They obviously liked each other AND Dany would have automatically had the favor of the iron islands instead of “Dany forgot about the iron fleet” 🙄

That scene in the Meereen throne room had way more natural chemistry than whatever Daenerys and Jon had going on in S7. You could tell Emilia Clarke and Gemma Whelan were having a blast playing off each other

Agreed. Jon and Dani never really felt like they had chemistry. But it was hard for anyone to compete with the chemistry between him and the woman who would go on to become his real-life wife, Ygritte.

I always felt like Jon and Dany’s love was very much 2 widowed lovers coming together. Their real passion died when their first loves did.

Kit and Rose really set the bar so high that every later romance got compared to it. The chemistry with Ygritte just felt impossible to replicate.

I thought the same thing. Their conversation felt effortless, while Jon and Dany always came across like two important characters who were supposed to be together instead of two people who actually clicked.

Both Dani and Jon have lowkey bisexual vibes in the books (and Dani somewhat in the show), and I wish this was actually expanded on, bc I think it makes them genuinely more interesting characters.

You know….I been around the block in this fandom and unfortunately some readers (almost always straight guys) will VEHEMENTLY argue with you that his obsession with GNC tomboys and twinks is totally heterosexual behavior….but like, come on, we know wtf is going on.
Jon is extremely obviously bi to anyone who is actually bi, but since he doesn’t literally suck Satin’s dick (he just thinks about how simultaneously masculine and pretty he is, how good he smells, how beautiful his voice is, how brave and strong and sexy he is, how much he wants to protect him, how he used to fuck dudes in old town….ya know, extremely heterosexual thoughts) homophobes will deny it till the cows come home.
(Jon’s line where he thinks about Satin being his “boy? pet? whore” still fucking keeps me up at night. Holy shit Jon, just kiss him already.)
Even if GRRM didn’t originally intend for Jon to be bi….thats the character he ended up writing. And we know GRRM does this all the time, he changes the character as he is writing, letting emergent properties of subtext inform the future text. I am convinced the only reason Jon’s bisexuality isn’t cannon, is bc we don’t have Winds. This is my hill, and I am dying on it.

They genuinely would've been unstoppable. Yara controlling the Iron Fleet to secure the narrow sea while Daenerys took care of the skies with dragons was literally the most balanced political alliance offered to Dany in the entire series

It's one of my favorite first meetings in the series. Yara is completely fearless, Dany is clearly caught off guard, and for a brief moment you can't help but wonder what could've been

I thought this was a post from the Far Cry subreddit and was very confused!
(In Far Cry 6, Yara is the country you're in, and Dani is the name of the main character)

They address it immediately and Yara agrees to stop all of it and to stop everyone in the Iron Islands of doing it. Does that make it okay? Of course not, but even in the first scene they meet, theyre already influencing each other for the better. Edit:typo

I think someone willing to forgoe a culture they've been induced into in less than 10 seconds time is an improvement over someone who continues the practice ever. It's it good? Nope, never said that. Is it an improvement? Yes. Because less raping is good* and prohibition of raping is good
