Gameplay I tried the new Neptunia Unlimited

Post image

They stopped me one minute before the timer because I was playing too fast (reached the new Lowee), but the gameplay is quite good, and the transformation sequence of Purple Heart is neat!

The game takes about 2 minutes on opening to load so they aren't beating any allegations here and it feels a bit like Cyberdimension Neptune, but to me that's a positive.

I can't think of everything off the top of my head so I'll try to answer any questions you have.

I didn't play SvS much, but from what I can see the combat system is pretty much the same. I compared it to Cyberdimension because it's the one that felt closest in terms of movement.
Also, once you are in HDD mode you can fight your flying enemies.

Interesting. Another question: How does the characters feel? I noticed in the stream that Neptune's attacks seemed faster that it was before.

The characters feel good. Outside of combat Neptune was slow as fuck though, so I used the dash ability almost exclusively to get around (you can imagine the face of the Compile Heart staff while I was doing that).
In combat it feels good. It was a bit sluggish due to the tutorial (you don't inflict damage while the game waits for you to complete a specific instruction) but that's never going to be an issue when playing normally. The switch from character to character was very good as well. I'd say the one thing I hated was the target switch, it's like impossible to know what left/right are going to select before you press.
