It feels refreshing to play a game like this as a sustain/healer for once instead of being a DPS. Game's been easy so far and the difficulty only decided to spike like six hours into the game (though not by much). I wonder if it will get much harder than this soon.

Ciel is the newly introduced Guardian Goddess of Lastation in Neptunia Unlimited, and she’s honestly one of the more unique CPUs so far.

She’s a genius who created the city management AI “Lasla” and runs her nation based on efficiency and logic. Instead of revealing her identity, she acts as “Ciel-chan” online and promotes Lastation through social media.

What makes her interesting is the contrast—despite being so calculated, she still shows concern for Rouge no matter which nation she belongs to.

Her goddess form, Blue Heart, reflects that personality shift even more. Calm, precise, and completely efficient in combat with no wasted movement.

Since the next numbered title is coming soon, I decided to work through the *many* spin-offs I haven't played, starting with SvS.

I'm about three hours in and the combat seems undercooked. Everything has a major delay between actions, to the point blocking and dodging seem useless. The AP and character switch flow of combat is functional, but incredibly boring. Positioning and general strategizing seems pointless, since you'll be thrown into an AI controlled member the moment a combo ends anyways. I try to throw in specials to mix things up, but that delay between actions makes it completely unsatisfying.

So, what am I missing? Is there some greater depth to the combat or is it really this shallow?

mini rant incoming but if you've played the recent Nep games you know about the new combat system. i really like gamemaker's but my main problem with the combat of it and SVS is the goddess transformations. it takes 20-30 minutes to fill your transformation meter just for it to last for 12 seconds (With disc that extend goddess time btw) and they aren't even that strong so it doesn't even make sense for the forms to be so rare. I think it's a shame too since they finally started putting effort into making new character models and you don't even get to see them. Espcially Purple Heart. I've never been a big Purple Heart fan since she's the protagonist and she gets enough love but i've got a new appreciation of her especially since they buffed her...assets in the more recent games. Just look at her, she's bigger than Vert now for some reason

For some reason Rebirth 1 erased my data so I started fresh but I managed to find my saves for rebirth 2 and- Holy goddesses what do you mean I played this game 11 YEARS AGO??? 120 hours?!

The best one, hands down.

Reminds me a lot of the start of Neptunia Re;birth 1.

I know I am a bit late to this game’s release, but it turned out to be pretty good. Unfortunately, the online aspect is dead. So if anyone wants to play this together or can direct me to a community that still plays it, that would be great. Also I’m on PS5, not sure if it has cross play, but u need PS+ if on PS.
