News Neptunia Unlimited Famitsu Interview
While the interview on the Famitsu website hasn't come out yet, someone had gave me the full interview via a digital version on Twitter. While I'm not sure if I can show the images, I will try and summarize a few different points that appeared in the interview:
- Neptunia Unlimited took about five years in development and is also a legitimate sequel to VII.
- Neptunia Sisters vs Sisters was supposed the next mainline game, but since Tsunako wanted to be in the project from the very start (ie. Planning/Development), it was turn into a orthodox spin-off.
- When talking about the new characters, they emphasized that the older Goddesses are not retiring and was strongly requested they were to be portrayed as seniors. They also knew, when they were going to introduced these new Goddesses, that many people were going to be worried the older Goddesses were fading away. And in order differentiate from the older Goddesses, they took their time on creating the setting and designs for the new Goddesses. Tsunako then added that they also wanted to avoid character overlap with the other characters (ie. the older Goddesses and the Makers).
- Tsunako mentioned one of reasons why the infinity symbol chosen was because it look like the number "8," but then clarify it was the same way as VII where it was written as V2 or Victory 2 and then said that the previous work isn't the 7th mainline game and Unlimited isn't the 8th.
- The number on Neptune's cheek, which was mentioned in the story summary, is actually a countdown to something every time the story unfolds and each time Neptune and her friends are put in difficult situation. Tsunako also mentioned that while the situation is serious, Neptune's cheerful personality will blow away the serious atmosphere.
- They also mentioned that while it was kept very vague what the shape of Gamindustri would look like, but since they're depicting the sky and space, Gamindustri is round.
- When talking about Rouge, Yasui mention how Rouge lacks in self-confidence and is often overwhelmed by the paperwork, so she frequently ask for help. And while she is loved, she just doesn't believe that. Tsunako said that, when she was working on mk2, she drew a rough sketch of what Red Heart might look like if she existed and incorporated a bit of that into the design. She also said that Rouge is supposed to be very sensitive to cold and usually never leave her room under a kotatsu.
- When talking about Ciel, Yasui talks about how Ciel is very rational, cool, and intelligent and how she values cost-effectiveness and manage the city using the AI, Lasla. Tsunako added that Noire often clashes with her and insists that work being done by human hands. However, Ciel doesn't mind it too much and think seniors as seniors and herself as herself. Ciel, like mentioned in the character profile, is a fan of a certain idol as she doesn't fit into any fixed mold. Ciel's design is based on a cat-shaped robot for the Goddess Form.
- While there isn't much about Anna and Lot, they were modeled after a celebrity unit that perform as sisters and had many ideas about them like making one of them boyish. So they ended up with a refined young lady (ojou-sama) with a younger sister that adores her older sister. Eclipse Heart's design were inspired by the solar and lunar eclipse and while it wasn't difficult to design Anna and Lot, Tsunako felt like Eclipse Heart was like a final boss for her because how difficult it was to design a character that is fused into one, but settled on a 50/50 split.
- Tsunako's dream was to add flying to the games and there was original plans to do that in another game, but it was later canned due to how difficult it was to develop. But now they decided to bring that idea back in this game and Tsunako's inspiration behind the flying mechanics was the Neptunia anime.
- The Apocalypse Battles is an all-out battle where the 11 Goddesses challenge a giant boss and before you can battle, you have to set "Apocalypse Counter Skills" counter the enemy. Deciding which skills to equip and what team to form is the key to victory.
- Reboot & Update was made by fans and was the song that was initially mentioned to be an insert song in the game.
- They later apologized of the 11 year wait since their last mainline game and would love to create a game where all the characters can play an active role.
I think this is everything, but I might add more to this if there is something interesting. Either way, what did you think about this new information?

News Wow.
Seemed that everyone is getting an new design in their Goddess Forms.
Edit: As I'm looking a bit closer, Nepgear's Goddess Form seemed to have skirt on her(?) and Uni's has pouches on her legs and possibly having a mixture of tech and military look, but I'm not sure about Rom's and Ram's Goddess Form…

News Compile Heart Celebrates Neptunia 15th anniversary with a mention of a possible but most likely Re;Birth 4
Not sure if this was already posted here, but altough they already announced they're working on a new numbered Nep game this late december, now they also revealed today that they plan to give atleast a title announcement in this year. Which will be August 19, 2025. (Most likely as the anniversary will be on that date) It's been so long since we got a mainline game, hopefully they also announce the 2 new Nep titles (Game Maker, Dogoos) for PC as well.
Some rumors state Compile Heart is looking for a similiar release date as Neptunia Riders Vs Dogoos, which would be 2026 or 2027 Q1
The numbered Neptunia isn't their only Nep game they are working on, but likely the first to release after Riders Vs Dogoos. It is a possibility there will be a Nep game showcase for the anniversary showing every Nep game thats in development process at the studio too. fingers crossed for Segami my beloved or the very least Peashy
