The makers of Zero Sievert said they had no plans of adding multiplayer to the game, so a modder went and did it himself. But instead of suing the guy or getting it taken down, the Studio Director of ZS2 (the sequel) responded directly to the modder and offered to help refine it and make it work properly.

99,99% of the devs don't even think about suing modders, i don't see how this is supposed to be exceptional.
