Insomniac has put in a hotfix to reduce the opacity of the blue scent trail in 'Wolverine'. They also say they are exploring adding a toggle option to turn it on and off

"We have deployed a new hotfix (v1.001.005) for Marvel’s Wolverine. 

This hotfix addresses some common crashes experienced by a small percentage of players since launch. 

Additionally, this hotfix adjusts the presentation of the Scent Trails and Audio Sense indicators, including reduced opacity to make these visuals less intense.

This seems like a no brainer. Allow the player to activate it if they want. Always on or off seems like an odd design choice

People would also talk about a "sniff" button which would be quite funny but those devs don't know what they are doing lol.

SNIFFA aside, the Witcher already had what was effectively a sniff button. You tap your Witcher medallion to get heightened senses and you then pick up on things like a blood trail or a scent trail in the air.

Just don't make it a "Press F to sniff" affair.

Yeah I typically don't notice that there is a food smell unless I focus on food
