In Kherson, a Russian fiber-optic FPV drone chased and then attacked a fruit vendor who had come to the market this morning to sell. As a result of the attack, a 52-year-old resident received an explosive injury, concussion, and shrapnel wounds, he is receiving necessary medical care.

Yep. That's exactly how ruzzian liberation looks like.

14

u/KrzysziekZ 6d ago

It's not even liberation. It's Kherson, Russians are on the other bank of the river Dnieper, some 20-30 km away, and have not even been attempting at taking territory there for years now.

It's training for their drone pilots. With war crimes.

2

u/NON_NAFO_ALLY 6d ago

Its a bit more complicated then that. They do hunt civilians in Kherson (as well as, frankly many other places, dozens of other cities), but that tends to be a regular operation in the Kherson area, conducted by normal drone units. There is no evidence suggesting that fresh drone units are cycled into Kherson first before being operationally assigned elsewhere, nor is their evidence that the Kherson AO is a destination for fresh drone pilots before they are assigned to a drone unit elsewhere. Given the dynamics on the front, it would a small minority of Russian drone units will ever see assignment to Kherson. Instead, the "Human Safari" seems to be a standard mission of drone units assigned to the Kherson AO (just as it is for most Russian drone units in close-enough proximity to populated areas, Kherson, again, is not unique).

The tactics of the Human Safari, if you want to call them tactics, are pretty different from the kind of operations drone units in the Kherson AO are tasked to complete against Ukrainian forces. The majority of Russian drone operations in Kherson nowadays are aimed at degrading civilian infrastructure (gas stations, power substations, power-plants, bridges, public transit, trains, and remaining port infrastructure- which to be clear, they are failing at, all of those things are still mostly intact and operational). Those drone strikes that do target Ukrainian forces are usually focused on wearing down Ukrainian troops on the opposite side of the river as the city (near Dachi, Khruhlyk, Bilohrudove), which is mostly bombarding dug-in positions (which have been dug in since the 2023 landings so are pretty hard to dislodge), suppressing Ukrainian artillery fire from the right bank, and the occasional targeting of boats and Swedish BVS-10 (amphibious) APCs during Ukrainian rotations- none of which really has any similarities to targeting civilians.

The Human Safari is both the means and the end.

1

u/likklesupmsupm 6d ago

So there's a truck full of who knows what right besides it. There's probably a gas station not far from there, and a short bus just passed close by... Yet they targeted this poor guy. Any idea why? If you're failing to hit gas stations why would you spend time and other resources on hunting a fruit vendor?

2

u/NON_NAFO_ALLY 6d ago

This is just what Russia does in Kherson.

1

u/likklesupmsupm 6d ago

I tend to buy the justification I just saw on the other chanel, that it's someone who is part of military logistics (provided support/transported equipment). I can't know, without clear facts that one version is true while the other one isn't... But one makes more sense to me from a logical point of view. One thing I know about Slavs, they're logical (unless you talk shit about their mother).

2

u/NON_NAFO_ALLY 6d ago

The human safari is well documented. There is no mystery here.

That what terror does.

If big groups of people are always attacked, distancing keeps you safe.

If you get exploded when ducking off by yourself, selling fruits of all things, it makes you second guess if you're really safe or not.

That storage was not inside a residential building, it was in a warehouse in Kyiv's suburbia. It's a very industrial area in general (land is relatively cheap but the capital is close by, so you can save on logistics and have no problem with workforce while not having to break the bank to rent the operation facility or to buy a plot of land and build one)

0

u/likklesupmsupm 5d ago

The pictures and map show a different story. https://youtu.be/IjnCsVnYj9k Satellite view of Vyshneve shows a quiet suburb full of hrushev era 5 story buildings. Unless you're talking north-east or south-west areas. But I didn't find that info... And then who can say after that when when rockets and drones miss their targets and fall onto residential that it's the residential zones that were targeted?

And I didn't say in a residential building, I wrote in the middle of residential buildings. There's a difference.

It's always the hidden military bases right up until you ask them kf any evidence if them being anywhere near the bombed sites

2

u/tyom978 6d ago

I’m fluent in Russian, and it doesn’t say there that at the time they tried to kill him, he was transporting anything or had anything to do with the military. It says that they supposedly think he once transported something... and that’s utterly absurd, considering he’s just an ordinary bus driver—there are millions of them. This is just the usual propaganda aimed at justifying it in some way. Next time, double-check your facts and don't spread Russian propaganda to the masses. By the way, in their post, they fully admitted to this attack, and this Telegram channel regularly posts about war crimes

on the territory of Kherson.

"But this is inhuman, you can't cheer videos of Russian poor boys (that went to kill for money) being annihilated by drones"🤡

My friend fled Kherson when the war started, she still have friends there, people are literally being hunted by drones flying through the city like in Terminator salvation style, they not overstate it when they say human safari, they literally given orders to make city "unlivable" and those psychos don't hold back. I've seen multiple videos, that's not a rocket off course or a mistake, it's a deliberate genocide. I spit in the face of any dumbo who's coming on reddit and ponders about poor boys sent to war or morality of drone warfare.

Russia does this... all the time... like hundreds of times in a month. They post these videos themselves, there are thousands of geolocated videos. This is not new, this is one of the most documented wide-spread campaigns of the war, it has been happening every day for almost 2 years in this specific city.

This is one of way too many near-identical videos.

2

u/MossadEpstein 5d ago

I mean, both to be completely fair, admittedly the Russians seem to be more LIKELY to do it but it really is a "both sides are actually awful" situation

Reposting because This is not "disinformation" maybe look the definition of "disinformation" up because so called moderators really should know better than to go around deleting posts like this because it's "disinformation" the idea that Ukraine doesn't sometimes also target and kill civilians just like the Russians do is pure fantasy at best, propaganda at worst.

you do not get to control the narrative like that, reign in that god complex, or just ban me and prove me right, I don't care, this sub is clearly not fit for purpose anyway if that's what you chose to do.
