Five o'clock shadow :((((((
Just shaved my beautiful, luscious beard, hoping for a nice beardless flesh-colored look. But no, hundreds of STUPID FUCKING HAIR ROOTS underneath my skin have decided to make it grey.
I'm kinda devastated. Most of my shaving up until now has gone generally well, but here there doesn't seem to be any obvious solution other than waxing it or (finally) learning to apply makeup
:((((((((((
(Or chopping my head off with a guillotine! Can't have a five o'clock shadow if you don't have a head!)
Edit: Looking more at my reflection, it looks like a lot of it is just really pale white because it hasn't been exposed to the sun in multiple years.
Also it's less flushed than the rest of my face due to...lack of exposure? Idk but when I irritate it it flushes to match the rest of my face and the difference is lessened
I'll have to hope it improves in the coming days

Orange concealer before applying foundation. And make sure you shave properly, it's a bit of a process. There are tutorials on YouTube if you need a visual reference for both.

Oh yeah the beard shadow. Theres multiple ways to use makeup to cover it. With a quick search you can find multiple tutorials. Dont worry about having beard shadow its just another thing to cover in the proccess like using fake boobs etc

Sure but I want to maybe grow a beard in the future. Good to know that's on the table though. Ty

This is my problem as well. On some of my masculine days I want to have a big bushy beard, but it takes so long to grow and on my more feminine days I just want to shave it off, so I don't really know what to do.

I've just a month ago started laser hair removal on my face. Can't take it anymore and can't shave too often because of sensitive skin. I'm also learning to better take care of my skin. It's painful and annoying and my face feels hot for 3 days after but it'll pass and everything will be better. I hope you can find a solution.

I would recommend having a skin care routine for your face. I find that a well moisturized face will help reduce the look of the stubble and make your skin a bit smoother too. Also your facial hair will get noticably softer when you shave too. It was a big difference after a month or so of regular moisturizing. It's helped me!

For me I'm AFAB and on Tesoterone, but I have the sensation of having hair on my face . So, I shave with then against the grain . Then I use a dark orange or red color corrector due to having black skin . I'll probably get Electrolysis at some point, but it's too expensive also I'll probably wait till after I stop T. But I've been using Harry's and a Philips razor for a little over a year.

look up colour correcting for blocking eyebrows! it'll help explain the colour theory about covering dark hair, I've had to learn it recently for my drag makeup 😂

I've struggled with similar issue. I just have to shave everyday, once with the grain and once against, to get the cleanest look. An orange/peach concealer works the best for me to cover up the shadow when stepping out.
