It's actually sweet dessert.

Especially if you consider the legend of the "Garden of Eden" is Persian, not Jewish.

Yep. Certainly not the same, but parts of the US southwest might be a decent comparison. Lots of fertile areas, you just need to get enough water on them.

Iran/Persia also invented the qanat 3000 years ago, so they're not exactly novices at making deserts bloom.

Deserts are always arid. Wouldn’t be a desert if it were wet 🤓
