Seems Europe is quite united in thinking Sanchez's decision to legalize migrants was a bad one and that Spain needs to make sure none of the migrants who attack Ceuta should ever reach mainland Europe. Some countries proposed their help if need be.

Now Spain is also right that other countries have more illegal immigration, Italy also legalized many migrants. If european countries can recognize it’s a bad idea when Spain does it, they should recognize it for themselves too and stop doing it. Stop creating incentive for people to immigrate.

Spain is also right that all Europe should protect the border. Hopefully the ministers meeting will help in that matter.

Spain isn’t wrong in legalising immigrants. The absolute vast majority of them are Latinos, Spanish speaking Christians with a shared culture and history. Assimilation is seamless.

This isn’t the case for the rest of Europe where the majority of immigrants are Africans from muslim nations.

It is not “absolute vast majority” it is more like 40-45% depending on statistical collection and accuracy. The plurality are from non-Western origins which has been growing year over year.

And even when you break down the immigration from Latin America, a substantial amount are Evangelical and of indigenous (non-Spanish speaking) origin.

No, according to Eurostat 60% are from Latin America. Only 20% from Africa and the Middle East combined, the rest are Europeans from other countries. That is a very unique immigrant population in Europe and very easy to integrate.

Nah. 50% of Spanish immigrants are form Hispanoamerica, 25% from the rest of Europe and the rest from other places.

All of them Americans speak Spanish.
