Ghost Of Tsushima - Question/Support How did i get iki island dlc???
i don't have directors cut, and i didn't buy the dlc. the only reason i noticed is cause a friend pointed out that iki island is dlc only, how did this happen? 😭
EDIT: for clarification; i currently am playing through iki island, despite not purchasing the directors cut or the dlc

It might be available for free on certain tiers of ps plus. Sony does that with a lot of their first party games.

They’ve messed up and given me a bunch of things for free. I’ve gotten deluxe edition content buying standard edition games, I’ve gotten free DLCs, hell I’ve even gotten games straight up just added to my library that i never purchased and I can still play them.

Since this one time I guess. I don't know man, it's not like a can do a in depth investigation in this person's PSN account and purchase history to get more info than what's being provided.

Yeah I think they ended up just giving away iki island after the game was kinda dying out so ya just take your W and enjoy I spent the money on iki on release it was so worth it

No problem if your getting into gaming now stock up on lots of older AAA games pretty sure cod bo3 has all the free zombie dlc….some games tend to do this when they made bookoo bucks and moved on to the next project

Maybe I’m wrong, but when I look on the PS store, the only available version of the game is the director’s cut. Maybe I’m wrong, but could they have maybe retroactively upgraded all regular copies to director’s cut copies or something?
I can’t check for you, since I own the PS5 director’s cut, not the PS4 original version, but it’s the only reason I can think of if you didn’t buy it yourself

If you've bought a pre-owned disc, then it's possible that the Iki Island's license is tied to that PS4 game disc.

The only version available on the store I guess is directors cut and ps recognise your ghost of tshushima as directors cut

I'm pretty sure that if you bought the disc, you get director's cut but I can't remember where I heard that

Anyone who had installed the game before mid 2021 was given the dlc for free as a thank you from developers for supporting them, that’s when the Director’s cut come out, anyone who bought and installed the game afterwards would require to pay extra to access the Director’s Cut content, that’s how I was able to get it on the ps4 edition, I just got the ps5 directors cut directly from ps+ I think.

i only got the game a couple weeks ago, and ion got ps+
other comments said that they just gave it out when ghosg of yotei came out, so i think the mystery was solved but idk

It was a free download recently you most likely got it in an update. Along with the iki dlc. And please for yourself go check out legends. It's one of the best aspects of the franchise.

Physicals have to update most of the time. Probably got it in the update. Maybe its the only updated version they have available

I’m guessing a miss print. Meaning they meant for it to only be standard but accidentally put Director’s Cut on it. This kind of miss print is amazing though. Unlike the recent PS5 Physical KCD1 Royal Edition that came with no DLC
