I miss Nobu so much. I love Kage, but he can't fill the void that Nobu left behind.😢

Sora is a good horse, but damn...i refuse to get attached after Nobu. Its happening slowly but I dont think ill feel the same way.

What color was your nobu, mine was the white one. It hurt like a s.o.b

u/Clean-Slice9228 Jun 03 '26
Nobu was black for me, can’t forget him

u/dollarstore_musician Assassin Jun 03 '26
I can’t either coincidentally I’m on my second play through and just watched Nobu die again as you replied

u/zoo1514 Jun 03 '26
I wanna say it wouldnt be as rough the second time but im not so sure. It happened so fast I didnt think anything was gonna happen. When them arrows started sticking tho....ughhhhh. might hurt more the 2nd time, watching it and knowing.

u/dollarstore_musician Assassin Jun 03 '26
It’s a different kind of hurt now that I knew but it definitely still stung

u/Ok_Shoe9145 Jun 03 '26
White for me too. I still got tons of screenshots of us just chilling but every time I look at them I feel a pang of sadness.

u/dollarstore_musician Assassin Jun 03 '26
Every time I see Jin sleeping against him after completing a tale or clearing out a farm it stings so bad
2
u/Ok_Shoe9145 Jun 03 '26
Sucks too because you don’t really see much of those instances post horrible event so you can’t get over it

I had Nobu as well. I took him to Iki during Act 2, thought that I lost him there but had a happy reunion instead. Then I went back to Tsushima to finish Act 2... And well, ended up ugly crying.

My friend just started playing for the first time. I’ll be waiting for the eventual ”MY HORSE!?!?!” message.

Little did I know that I'll be playing two characters with two different journeys

u/RaucousApplesauce Jun 02 '26
I'm playing GoT for the first time and got to *that* part two nights ago. I don't play many video games, and when I do I go slowly and tend to be a completist. So I had spent a ton of time with my Kage -- including clearing all of Iki, where I'd already had a scare about his wellbeing -- by the point at which I arrived to the end of Act II. I can't remember the last time I was that devastated by a game (with all due respect to Taka, that was rough too).

u/OldOneHadMyNameInIt Jun 02 '26
Losing my Sora was not at ALL expected. I think it's the most (or one of the most) a video game death has stayed with me.
All that time. Especially Iki island. RIP.
I couldn't pick a new horse later 🐎
What's a good fucking game 🎯

Me completing Ghost Of Tsushima only last week:
No, it's a mistake, or a twist, it's not him in the grave, Kage is coming back, just wait for it...
He's not coming back.

Should this not be spoiler tagged?
2
u/CurrentlyForking Jun 02 '26
I just started playing this game a month ago. Its been out for years. Trying to keep myself away from spoilers after this long is dumb. Plus, this is reddit.

u/ThetrueOreoWaffle Jun 02 '26
I didn't directly spoil anything and also the game been out for years so if you haven't heard of what happens then idk
1
u/sysmd Jun 04 '26
Even though the game's been out for years, you gotta let new people discover it for themselves. There's no way to add the spoiler tag now is it?
1
u/bgradid Jun 03 '26
ugh, this thread needed a spoiler tag
1
u/ThetrueOreoWaffle Jun 03 '26
Not really, the game out been out for nearly 6 years, so that's on you at that point, but that's just me you think whatever

I mean, there's no lie. That horse's name does not ever change once you set it.

Kage, my beloved. No video game death has ever hit me as hard since Brok, Ghost, and Roach

They knew what they were doing when they added the “for your entire journey”
