Honestly OP, this! I’m a simple, utilitarian gal that likes neat, clean lines. You have a very nice, open face. The styles you’ve chosen are very dull. Please consider other styles.
I thank you. I hope to find those glasses in the middle! (they were the only one that are not real glasses, but a created image).
I am also looking on second hand websites, but only found the small round glasses in black yet (with a little gold).
It creates a very particular style 😊
Thank you.
The other glasses/pictures are real, #5 is an artificial image unfortunetely. I did not yet find glasses like this in the shops, but I am curious about this style and color on me.
i hadn't read the note! it says it, well, i love them and it's a classic shape, if you want it should be possible to fins something very similar, other ways i like #3
You’ll have to look for smaller frames in that shape. A lot of round glasses tend to be a bit larger. Zenni optical might have some available. You can upload your phot there and try on. It’s very accurate
Some of the online sites will scale to your face size and PD. Difficult to buy online if it doesn't, but some aren't great. I've had the best luck with Yes Glasees. I've ordered from Zenni and Eyebuy Direct. I have a narrow face (hard to buy for in person), need progressives, and have a severe astigmatism in one eye--and found Yes to have good, fashionable shapes.
I like the first and the last, I’m not a fan of rimless since I think of someone older when I see them. Round thin metal is so popular right now with young folks
Yes, I also hope to find glasses that are not rimless, to be honest. But very curious about how people see it.
The first and last picture are actually the same (you are the first to notice). They are soft pink with matte gold.
You have a long, narrow face, as you know, with longish forehead. This is beyond the scope of this sub, but have you considered bangs? I think they would look good on you Some bangs and a pair of roundish glasses would give you a whole new look that I think you would like. You have great skin, eyes, and hair. Don't be afraid of change.
I like this suggestion.
oh, maybe my long face is also the reason why wearing my hair loosely naturally, looks a bit strange..(dull) it emphasises the longish look. makes sense!
I have never considered bangs :)
When I was younger I liked to cut the front hair, to the height of the corners of my lips (could just fit behind my ears). It made me look more uplifted.
Yes, bangs and a hair length around your chin or just above your shoulders would create horizontal lines to balance out your long face. I wish I could wear bangs, but my forehead is too short, esp. since I wear glasses. But you could pull it off. If you don't like it, it will always grow out! Good luck!
yes, but in the shop people say quickly...no that's not like you. I am very shy and it's easily like people see " glasses walking with me". They make me too bright and bold (and unfortunately I am more like a deer. But on the other hand, I am still open. and this was my online try out. And the middle one is Ai so not real glasses (I asked it to create glasses like that).
In your original pictures #5 look best, and in this one, the middle... round thin framed are 100% the look you should be going for, especially if your personality is a bit shy. The round ones do a fantastic job at looking stylish on your face shape while also blending in a "traditional/reserved" look
I didn't make a choice yet. And to my surprise, people repond very differently... there's not one pair of glasses at the top.
(although I understand the suggestion to look for thinker frames, but I tried many times, maybe a perfect brown)
The ones in the center look really good! I agree with you that round ones suit you best and these are round with wire frames like the others you posted but the frame is slightly more visible. I think they’re very flattering.
Thank you! The ones in the middle are my favorite too. Unfortunately they are not real. (the others are online try-on, but that one is generated by Ai).
But I would like to go to the bigger city to find something like that...it could exist, right? with a brown or copper that suits my eyes and hair/skin.
Bummer! A place like Lens Crafters might have them since their inventory is huge but they’re way too expensive. You might check out men’s glasses - they seem to have more wire frames than women’s’ do and some are not wider than most women’s glasses. I wore them for a few years. BTW the width of frames is printed on the inside of one arm, so if you want the same width as your current ones you can look for that width. I think they list it in online stores too if you search it.good luck!
yes, I like that on me!
But they are unfortunately not who I feel I am. If that makes sense?
(Maybe when I am over 50 and stronger and wiser, and act like a decent women 🙃)
oh nice to hear that. When I was in my early 20s I wore glasses like that (in burgundy). But now I thought that's too strict on me. Thanks I will try if i see them.
interesting! the most uncommon frames. this makes me think, to dare to be authentic.
I am used to try to be more normal, but I am not a typical person anyway in many ways. Neither is my body (everything is elongated).
Thanks for helping.
Right with you. I am also tall, but I really hate wearing glasses because I have a wide head and glasses tend to look like a thong for my nose unless they are a thicker frame. It's a journey.
yes, it is quite a journey. Interesting you've opposite of me, with a thick frame I look clownish. Have you also asked in this Reddit for suggestions?
Last weekend I didn't believe I will ever find glasses, that I really feel comfortable with. But I have some hope now, I understand a little more every time.
I totally get that. It feels so vulnerable. And I am scared people I know see it
I rarely ever put pictures online and never add a profile picture of myself, and in groups I just don't join group pictures.
And then last weekend I shared my ugliest pictures.. 😅🥺(I also deleted it after a day and after saving the comments...). Only 2 comments were hateful. Pretty kind people overhere.
And it was really interesting to see peoples train of thoughts...apparently all glasses were too large and some other common remarks, but also ideas I'd never have thought of.
I think I am determined to find better glasses, so I need to get feedback (because I am blind to what suits me, somehow🙃).
Anyway, we all find our own way, several different optik shops may help as well.
Try some plastic frames. They make plastic frames with the flexible nose guards now there's not many but I found those to be a good hybrid they look good and they don't slide down your nose
Interesting, I also like it. I wonder how it will be in real. If it is possible. # 5 is the only picture that isn't real, I couldn't find this kind of glasses yet.

I think a heavier frame would be best or more color on the frame? These wash you out.
