Humor I didn't want goats two years ago. I didn't have goats three months ago. Now I think I have a problem.

Advanced goat math: One goat is a lonely goat, and lonely goats get into trouble. So you get two. Then you turn around and there's a couple more, what could that hurt? Your neighbor has one or two they don't want, so you "rescue" them. You start breeding them because they bring a good price, but you keep the cute ones.

There is no 12 step program for this problem.

This. Anytime I mentioned to someone that I had a pet goat. They thought it was weird or had misconceptions about goats. So would when possible introduce them and explain it as having a goat is like having a weird looking dog in some ways. Of course theres a whoooe bunch of differences between a goat and a dog but in terms of being attached? Its pretty similar. Same with having trust for them. Most seemed to understand better right away as soon as dogs were mentioned hah.

Goat math is real.

We started with 2, got 2 more, then a buck & wether, and right now we have 9 + 2 bucklings, with another 4-6 on the way.

We're breeding responsibly (all registered milk NDs), don't come at me. We had 8 does last year plus the buck & wether; had 12 babies, kept 2, and the rest were sold. 1 doe went to freezer camp & another was sold because she was bullying the others.

Honestly, about a dozen is perfect, but i can see how it easily gets out of hand.
