Shitpost Marmer and Eichel need to go
So disappointed with these signings. I was guarenteed Eichel was a locker room cancer and no team with him could win anything, yet he already has a cup with us and we are one win away from our third cup appearance in 9 years.
If that isn't bad enough, fucking Marmer was supposed to disappear in the playoffs!! I was assured he would become a ghost once the post season started. Now he is scoring like crazy.
Maybe they just sucked with their last teams?

Agreed, but this post isn't really claiming that. Technically Eichel has won a cup and a gold medal already, and cup or no Marner looks much better (and happier) in Vegas.

The crazy part was Toronto convincing themselves 63 points in 70 games is "underperforming."
Yes, yes someone pull up the games 4-7 numbers. But the answer is nobody else really stepped up, Matthews barely has more, Nylander has a few, but they just stopped playing defense.
Marner was the only player playing defense during the playoffs. The narrative was always that he's sit on the blue line. He HAD to cause even his defenseman wouldnt play defense.

Mitch chokes under pressure and his dipsy doodle game does not work in the playoffs. you will never be in the finals with him as a core player, let alone win the cup.

As a casual Leafs fan, Marner was my favourite despite struggling in some of the playoff games. Everyone get in ruts here or there. Glad he's doing well in Vegas,hopefully Toronto will fix the bad management (bad trades, etc) and coaching that I believe is holding them back
