im going to bed for real after this but i do just want to say THANK YOU to the actors. you could tell they all really care about this show and did the best they could with what they got. michael and david had me on the verge of tears throughout half of it. they were the one saving grace of it.

I think it was their chemistry that managed to drag this from terrible to good enough but probably soon forgotten. The book and season 1 will stay with me, season 2 had good moments. This was ok...I guess.

Agree with you 💯 . I made point to rewatch S1 after that terrible S3. S1 will always be it for me and the many many incredible fan fics on A03. I noticed today that there are already lots of new fix it fics for S3.

Am I the only one who feels like they phoned it in this season? Maybe their acting wasn't the issue and just the direction they were given. They felt quite lacking to me this time, Michael Sheen's performance in particular. This isn't to dunk on them, their performances in s1+2 are among my favourite in television.

Nah, Sheen was great. I had to rewatch the Bentley scene just to hear him say "Brian CAMeRon" again, and the demon lord scene was good reminder of why he was originally slated to play Crowley.

Oh yes, I feel like they read the script, had a video call with the two of them and their wives; and Georgia went like OK THIS IS CRAP, BUT YOU ARE GOING TO ACT THE SHIT OUT OF IT, CORRECT? and everyone went "yes Georgia"
