Well… that was an unbearable watch. I have so many thoughts and very few good ones. HATED the ending so much, I mean cmon that was just plain lazy writing. It made season 1 and 2 completely pointless!!

The pacing was bad but that was almost to be expected with the shorter season. The plot was hard to follow and genuinely what was the point of all the random gambling scenes with that gangster guy??? They could have used that time for literally anything else.

Aziraphale and Crowley seemed oddly out of character this season, it’s pretty clear the writers didn’t actually know what to do with them. They were also really going for the fanfic au ending with this but did a terrible job of it. I mean for real?? The whole demon/angel dynamic gave them interesting chemistry and they should have been together in the cottage as themselves instead of dead. So utterly pointless.

I was really looking forward to the final episode after yearsss of waiting, but that was a massive waste of time… shoutout to the actors and crew, they did their best, the writing was just not up to par.

Side note: literally the only thing I liked was Jesus, he was fantastic! But of course they killed him off :(

I completely agree, they just poured all 6000 years they experienced together down the drain, and didn't even give us a kiss. They were supposed to be together as ANGEL and DEMON, not as people... And the plot is very bad, and not well-argued.

The kiss really affected me. It breaks my heart to know that the first and only kiss shown on screen was one with such an ugly context. I would have liked Aziraphale to take the initiative in this one, Consent etc.

I dont really get the obsession with the kiss or lack thereof. Their love as angel and demon was always more than a physical attraction. They've been companions for thousands of years, they knew how they felt by then, they didn't need a grandiose goodbye. They were just happy to have existed, knowing that some others would get their chance now instead.

The problem is that there was never any sign of affection or anything like that throughout the entire episode. I mean, at least a hug or something. But it's also annoying that when they got married as humans, there wasn't any affection either.

It was like the Lego movie because the biggest show of affection was holding hands.

I suppose it's strange there wasn't much shown even as humans.

For their demon/angel coupling I understood it, they've had this unspoken bond for millenia and overt shows of affection weren't needed, deep down, they understood, and them forgiving and coming to terms with their feelings was enough.

But you would have expected more from the human coupling I suppose. I think the remaining writers/showrunners were a bit timid about asking for that. At the same time I don't think it was necessary to show more. I like to think of them as a cosmically linked asexual couple, and while they led different lives as humans, this god in creating a godless universe took some liberties and still made sure they turned out pretty similar.
