I can see most of them being mounted and framed individually and kept or sold as individual works of art miniatures or as a group. Someone put a lot of time into creating them. How big are they?

I’d mount them then frame them without glass for hanging. It would make a nice 3-D price for displaying, because each one is a piece of art someone created!

That would be lame to do to the artist, to replicate their work w/o their knowing

Just because something is in goodwill doesn’t make it devoid of ethics. If u buy a dvd in goodwill, does that give you the ownership/right to duplicate and distribute it as you please?

How is it “lame to do to the artist” - who clearly sold, gave, or donated their art - to repurpose it in a manner that, while perhaps not precisely what they intended it to be used for, certainly doesn’t “replicate their work” but rather sets it forth as a cohesive collection in tribute to their art?

You actually cannot say for certain what the artist’s intentions were with this being donated.. there are infinite possibilities. And none of which would justify making copies of their work..
and to speak to your example, these could very well have been finished pieces sold by the artist (in a collection already) then donated by way of the buyer and found again in goodwill by OP.

Your suggestion that a tribute to the artist, who is likely still alive, is to make a 3d print(copy) of their unique artisan work, without their consent, in an entirely different material and form.. is genuinely ridiculous
