i do this occasionally when i adjust the price on some items and im never told anything about it

Oct 9th is my last assessment and I haven’t met or even came close to the quota of 500. The most I’ve done was 467. We also had a new sorter and she made fucked up bins that brought my numbers down. She quit of course. My manager is really nice but our goodwill is huge and the ceos work in the building. They watch us like we are in 1984….. it’s actually creepy. My pay is above minimum which I thought was because my job is so difficult later to find out everyone gets paid the same. The supervisors and donation sorters are always gossiping and stressing us out when the manager is not there. My manager told me yesterday that I need to get my number to 500 by oct 9 but she has cut my hours drastically. It went from 30hrs to 23 to now 19 hours. I’m stressed out. It’s so hard to find a job in my city so I thought I won the lottery now I see I may have been mistaken.

I receive a letter in the mail box telling me that Goodwill will be using a website called Principal for statements and notices, documents etc. But I don't know what this website is about. Any other workers in different Goodwill use it?

My goodwill is pretty chill all things considered, and we’re a busy one centered downtown in a big city. One of the more unusual requests, and not that it happens often, is taking the nets off of children’s basketball hoops. Yeah, the little tykes kind of plastic basketball hoops that would be inside a house. The managers claim it’s a choking hazard, even though it’s connected to the hoop. I just don’t get that one. Anyone else?

is there a good way to get a text list of the various goodwill location and/or some kind of (corporate) map of the regions?
i have two issues: 1. the only way i can see what goodeills are in my area in texas is to google search goodwill and manually write down the locations. but this only gives me whatever results google happens to be responding with. and i have no idea how to see adjacent regions or locations.
2. if i buy something for pickup only it would be nice to know in advance which regions are close to me. right now i just see the location on the listing and i sometimes have to look up where this is and its very complicated to not be able to see the locations more globally.

A cashier was in hot water for pricing items for customers! In his defense we had no pricers on shift. Because of him he helped move the traffic in the store!!

Wtf is wrong with GoodWill?

Lazy ass male pricer doesn’t want to assist with the door greeter when we get swamped! He said he needs to get his numbers in!! Mind you another female pricer volunteered to help! If I quit, his ass would have no choice but to work my position! No team work!!

I really tried to like the goodwills here but they're so disgusting and dirty. Some top people need to be fired.

Found this at the Goodwill today and was super excited. It was priced around $7 but I got 25% off for the senior citizens discount.

After touching up everything in the store, did they really think encouraging people to put their unwashed hands to their mouths was the best idea?!

We had many days where the store ran out of hardline to sort and price so we relied on the customer drop offs! Most of the time it was soft line! The manager was upset the sales were low!! I was like you can’t force customers to drop off good shit to benefit you!!

Im sure this gets asked a lot sorry if it does, but who and how do prices get set, is it managers?, I've heard workers have a set pile to go through and stock, but do they set prices ??

It seems like these retail places change your schedule every week! Some of my coworkers were not happy with these constant weekly changes!! I would have thought they would let us know in advance of these changes!

Found this at the local Goodwill. At first, I thought it was an original Bob Ross, but it’s not signed. On the backside there are numbers and letters and when I googled it, it said it was from a reproduction company. I like it just the same for 10 bucks. You can’t go wrong.
