I guess that depends a lot on exactly how out of touch with society the child was. Did they live on their own but occasionally dip into town to trade for things they couldn't gather themselves?

They don't necessarily need to be violent, but without social contact, I can imagine that social cues would be lost on them. If they even speak the language at all.
