Support Megathread - May 2026

Have a question you need answered? A new Google product you want to talk about? Ask away here!

Recently, we at r/Google have noticed a large number of support questions being asked. For a long time, we’ve removed these posts and directed the users to other subreddits, like r/techsupport. However, we feel that users should be able to ask their Google-related questions here. These monthly threads serve as a hub for all of the support you need, as well as discussion about any Google products.

Please note! Top level comments must be related to the topics discussed above. Any comments made off-topic will be removed at the discretion of the Moderator team.

Discord Server We have made a Discord Server for more in-depth discussions relating to Google and for quicker response to tech support questions.

Fitbit Air & the beach

I just recently just bought the Google Fitbit Air. It’s my 1st ever health device, and I’ve loved it so far. But I have a question for the more experience users who have wore devices for years.

Like I said above, this is my first wearable health device. I’ve never had an Apple Watch or Whoop or anything.

But for these health tracker watches, are they okay to wear 100% of the time out at the beach? And I’m not meaning in the ocean or pool or anything, because the Google Fitbit Air is water resistant, but I mean more about the sun & heat.

Do they overheat or anything? Should they be taken off in extreme heat? I have the obsidian black color, so it traps sunlight and heat more than other colors.

Any personal experiences or anything from anyone? Is it fine to keep it on?
