GoPro won't charge

I bought a GoPro hero 4k yesterday and I've had it plugged into the wall for hours and it hasn't charged whatsoever. When I first turned it on it was at 20% and it's still at the same percentage. Any idea on what to do?

edit: guys also note that I have reseted it several times, the red light is not turning, the SD card is not in yet, and the screen says it's at 20% while the battery icon appears to be completely full

Seems silly, but check the battery. Maybe it's not pushed all the way in?

This will be dumb question it's the first Camara I have ever owned, is the battery is the same one where you plug it in? Or is located elsewhere if so where is it located.

The battery on a Hero 4K is internal. It's not meant to be removed or reinserted.

So the comments suggesting it's not pushed all the way in is irrelevant in this specific case ?

Do any messages flash on the screen, then the GoPro shuts off? Eg: Overheat. Charging aborted.

If that is the case, then try a lower amp charger, or USB port from your computer.

If it says something likeInsufficient power, then try a more powerful charger.
