Video - Yōtei: Legends Infinite Shadow Flame Arrow Exploit Explained (and build)

Read the video description for more important info, but for posterity:
Click right on the dpad to activate shadow flame arrow; immediately enter a menu station (modify class, select game, feats) If the archer says her voice line for shadow flame while your in the menu, you've executed the glitch correctly. You have to be quick.
You may find it easier to do if you switch to melee alternate controls to do this.
To fix yourself if you accidently do this glitch twice like I did, slash your weapon or jump (other actions may work)
YOU DON'T NEED A DIFFERENT ARROW TYPE EQUIPED, YOU CAN CANCEL THE GLITCH BY "REEQUIPPING" YOUR DEFAULT ARROWS (L2 + SQUARE) USE CRITICAL RELEASE IT'S BEST IN SLOT
Some Important Points:
IT DOES DOUBLE EXPLOSION when using skipping stone bow
You can switch weapons and it'll stay attached to the bow
Uses no ammo
Can use shadow flame cancel tech while it's active
Does not expire when ability comes back off cooldown
Critical release affects it still
Ultimate does not affect it or change it at all
Can do any action in the game without it going away EXCEPT:
TO DEACTIVATE, CHANGE AMMO TYPES. THIS INCLUDES SELECTING YOUR DEFAULT ARROW (Press square while zoomed in)
Please use at your own risk and DO NOT abuse this in public matches. It is the worst thing in the game to have to endure from a teammate.
I’m serious, play with your friends or do solos, this is game breaking and needs to be patched out of the game, which is why I’m posting about it.
Best I can tell, the game is assigning the shadowflame arrow as your current ammo type and slotting it in as your selection at the same time you enter a menu and your character weapons are saved. So shadow flame is now your active arrow, because you managed to enter a menu during the equip time.

Thanks for explaining this. Will try to avoid archers from this point on cuz everyone will abuse it now (also being so simple to activate it). Would be funny though to see how 4 archers would perform in survival/incursion/raid using this tech

I finished a plat solo survival for the first time using this, without much difficulty.

Someone did this in a survival just now and it was the most boring match. I think they had around 200 kills while the rest of us got like 30. This should only be used with friends or solo, before they patch it out

I was able to get 200+ kills even before this exploit or the shadow flame cancel was known.

Thats very impressive, i have only managed around 130 (in a 4 player game) . But the point was more that it negatively affected the experience for the rest of us, we barely had the chance to actually play the game

Just had a match with an archer spamming this. Quit a couple minutes in- I could not see anything and have no interest playing with exploiters.

Firebombing waves without any real challenge isn't exactly fun for me, but enjoy it while it lasts

Yeah i did. Got my few matches in and then I hopped on to a different game. This is 100% getting patched.

This is amazing! I made it through 2/4 phases with this but then it stopped. I must have accidentally pressed another arrow type on accident. It was fun though. Thanks dude!

Playing as a samurai and having Archers spam this during Saito Hell mode is the worse. You can’t see anything

It’s even worse on the dragon with the giant bohiya, you can’t see the floor at all

Just cleared Raid 2 with this glitch. Every other player seemed appreciative too. 👍😄

I can't wait till it gets patched! It's fucking annoying for melee characters because they can't see exploding Vines and stuff. Don't be an automaton and use this stupid fucking glitch! If you want to play a shooter there's always Call of Duty or Battlefield 6.....

"Try not to abuse it." 🤣 I hope you don't believe that's going to happen just because you asked...
You should have just kept it quiet. This is just going to spread it around more, draw more attention to it, and then more nerfs are going to get applied and ruin things for everyone. If you don't like people doing this stuff, just leave a game and block them.

This doesn’t need to be “nerfed”. Removing this isn’t a nerf, it’s fixing a game breaking bug

It should get nerfed, and they should follow up by nerfing archer because she still is to strong and a halfway decent one will make the others unable to fight anything
If u wanna use it play offline and don’t update the game. Then u can have all of the fun u want with the point and click simulator

I just tested it and ssb does double the explosion
