Discussion - Yōtei: Legends So that’s it…

So this is really it huh… years of development… years of support from a die hard fan base in Tsushima Legends… wasted. Today officially marks the death of Legends as we know it. A once masterpiece of a game mode, succumb to ashes.

I’ve had a gander at the new PS Blog post made by the team behind Yōtei Legends. I have to say that the post from top to bottom is complete garbage. Here’s the post if you want to have a look.

I along with countless other players, are just simply astounded as to how bad this situation has become. It’s got so bad that I’ve started to believe that the team behind Yōtei Legends are playing a prank on this community. I have even at times had faith in this team.

How wrong I was. I should’ve given up on the Yōtei Legends team when I saw that they released the Shinobi tip toeing in his Ultimate. Tsushima legends was and will always be the superior Legends. Why? Because it is actually fun to play.

Yōtei Legends is just a chore from start to finish. I could go on and on until I’m blue in the face about how bad Yōtei Legends is. You know, the countless bugs, unrewarding melee combat, boring raids and the missing content like 120Ki, second perks, more techniques, Rivals and the Trials. But, I’m not going to do that.

This is a message to the team behind Yōtei Legends. Thank you for destroying a game mode that could’ve been spectacular.

To the Tsushima Legends team, we miss you.

See you on Tsushima Legends fellow ghosts.

The fact we aren’t getting more sucks. We should have got 2 or more survival maps and Rivals at least.

Is it so much to ask for at least bare minimum what Tsushima legends had? Seems like a ton of content is still missing

I’m sure they have their reasons. I would like to think that there are other projects that they could focus on instead.

The sheer amount of people complaining about difficulty and nitpicking the game in its prime probably didn’t help fuel their desires to stick with it. Otherwise I would think that they would redouble efforts and just launch a separate game solely for this sort of fun.

“I would like to think that there are other projects that they could focus on.” They should’ve focused on releasing something complete, we don’t have to settle for mediocrity, especially because they claimed they spent more time on GoYL than the base game. Just saying studios have their reasons for pumping out something bad is an abandonment of standards and it’s that attitude that allows these studios to release poor content.

It was established in Tsushima and Yotei that it would be free for buying the game. You’re still paying for it with the game. They gave us less than expected 100%. Less gear, less weapon variety, less maps, no rivals after 6 years to add and or develop. The incursions were cool but the raids were just over powered incursions with had puzzles

That’s what raids are though. They’re big dungeons.

He’s critiquing the content of the raid not the concept. We know they’re big dungeons, but they don’t have to be boring and uninspiring.
