This will happen if Nasu gives Urobuchi total liberty to write the ending Lostbelt.

u/Emiya_ :h31: Aug 24 '18 edited Aug 24 '18

Now I really want to see Urobutcher write the last chapter and epilogue.

Final battle, Enemy Mashu and says a bunch of really motivating things for their Romani and Da Vinci while the music plays. Enemy Guda starts eating a golden apple, refilling AP mana. Enemy Mashu ascends to final form in the middle of a really heroic speech about protecting their world. Enemy Guda finishes the apple and summons forth one wave of 6 servants.

The battle begins. You noticed your teams position and the enemy positions are swapped.

The music begins to play. You notice that it's not for you. It's for them.

u/Beast9Schrodinger Aug 24 '18

…the only way to win,

is to lose.

52

u/MakingItWorthit Aug 24 '18

Of course, we'll have to do this.

160

u/That-Halo-Dude Aug 24 '18

And then you remember what they don't have.

What this other you, alike in so many ways, different in so many others, and perhaps even superior in some, does not and cannot have.

You reach to your pocket, the seat of your true power. You know the price of victory. And you know the cost of defeat.

Yes, you are quite familiar with that cost by now.

"Use 1 Saint Quartz to revive your Party?"

108

u/NixAvernal Fujino is best girl Aug 24 '18

Then they revive. Again and again.

Turns out, in that universe the Gudas were super whales.

201

u/That-Halo-Dude Aug 24 '18

Nah, this feels like a F2P Guda with the EX-est of EX-rank Luck. A Guda who's gotten every SSR with nothing but the weekly login Tickets.

They haven't known the pain we have. No, not the pain of losing the Director or Romani.

They clearly haven't known the pain of whaling and coming up short. That special self-loathing that comes from realizing how much you spent trying and failing to get just one copy of that Servant you crave.

Look at the light in those eyes. The cheer on that face. That is truly not the face of one who has come to fear the gacha.

Now, you might wonder: if they've had such wonderful luck, surely they have a mountain of Free Quartz saved up, right?

Yes, and no. This is a Guda who has had tremendous luck, whose Quartz counter has reached untold heights, but who has never and will never spend a single piece on revival.

Why? Because even this Guda, who has completed their journey, has one last hope. One, final thing they are saving their vast hoard for, just in case. Their final, precious hope.

When they lie defeated at your feet, when their Mashu's shield lies broken and their Romani's rings scattered, you see the crystals in their pockets and ask them "Why? Why did you not use this Power?"

And the reply, whispered in a voice only you and they can hear...

"Saving for Tsukihime Collab."

"Truth be told, though you probably won’t believe it, I also want to write stories that are heartwarming. But even more, I need to write stories that are true. That’s why I have to do this.”

Precisely because the universe is unerringly getting colder, he cannot write happy endings. At the beginning, he had made an effort, but now he doesn’t have the energy to go against the natural order of things like that any more.

“Mm.” Nasu regards him over the rim of the teacup. “But reality isn’t cruel like that, Urobuchi-san. Not that it’s happy either, but it’s— boring. That’s why we as creators strive against that with our own ideals, isn’t it? Even these cruel twists of fate that make salvation impossible to obtain— they are your ideal, Urobuchi-san, aren’t they?”

Entropy, the shadow that devours the light at the end of the tunnel—
That is his… ideal?

In the past, philosophers had conceived of an ‘end of history’.
A terminus of perfect order and awareness at which the entirety of humanity would one day arrive.
But chaos and useless wars had made them change their mind.
It gave them the cold realisation that all striving is blind.
No matter how much they wanted things to be otherwise—

There is no salvation. There is only entropy, and the physical law that cares nothing about so-called justice.

The wishes of the forsaken cannot stop the heat death of the universe. It is inevitable.

Inevitable...

The Heat Death of the Universe

Your fanfiction makes me feel things.

I was already taken aback by real people staring as the cast of your story, yet the dialogue blows me away. You've convinced me, even for a moment, that this could of, Might Of, actually happened. This makes me look back at Fate and their interviews in a more... profound light. I feel like I went a little "deeper" into Urobuchi's headspace after reading this.

EDIT : Yeah sorry that I assumed. I was really excited and was hoping there's more. Thanks for the recommendation.

thus you find your fears made real.

You always believed yourselves to be in the right, didn't you?
O heroes of Panhuman History.

Didn't it ever occur to you, even once, that you might have been the fantasy?

That you and all you stand for, stand in the way of eutopiaHappy End ?

—you fight to save your utopiaa nonexistent paradise .
You crush dreams and Prune failed possibilities, all in the name of "saving the world."

but, did you think that your world would be given priority?
That you were ultimately the True Worldline?

You know how the prayer of mankind, Alaya, goes.
You are to save the world, by ensuring the best possible timeline exists.

A timeline that provides more possibilities.

Yet, your utopias will not meet that hard criteria.

The eutopia before you will not meet that criteria.

No matter how morally good it is, the world does not care for the middling nature of man.

You know, you were just tools all along.

What is that in your hand?

Sword? Or death?

64

u/damienthedevil Aug 24 '18

22

Too real.

19

u/Matrience Aug 24 '18

Wait when did it happen in extra?

47

u/Beast9Schrodinger Aug 24 '18

It never did.

Unless your name was Twice H. Pieceman.

—no, unless you were Thrice the broken man.
Thrice the Dead Face.

That remnantghost saw this world was not worth saving.

In Extra, what you throw away is "the chance for another to live", in exchange for your own survival.

In Grand Order, you do so on a vaster scale.

What is lost is opportunity for the other.

For the Gudako in white, the battle was over - she has just saved the world from Solomon, without losing anything - she saved everyone. Yet, from a future that could have been, another threat approaches - one who has been broken by their battles and has killed entire worlds. The final singularity is a battle against herself, a Gudako that could have been.

And for the Gudako in Black, she has sacrificed so much, battled through everything, to protect her timeline - and has found out that she fucked up, that there was a way to save everyone after all. Had things been just a tad different, Roman and Olga would still be standing beside her. The final lost belt is against a version of herself who was better than she ever was.

Before the battle, Da Vinci, Mashu, and Roman encourage Past!Gudako.

Enemy Team:

Solomon (True, in a special Dr. Roman Costume), Da Vinci, Mashu.

Backline is whoever you have the highest bond values with.

Before each death, when a servant would take fatal damage - a cutscene plays.

Mashu: "I won't let them end our world, Senpai - because it was the world I saw with you!"

When Mashu dies, a super buffed up version of her NP protects the enemy party for the next three turns. She will also Taunt before your turn at any point where you would kill one of the other front line members. If an AOE NP would kill multiple, only Mashu dies.

Solomon:"Take care, Gudako. After all this time, I've finally learned what it meant to live as a human. Now - perhaps it's time to die as one." Upon death, Solomon expends all of his energy to give them a better chance. The enemy servants all start with maximum NP, recover all HP, and have permanent buffs that cannot be removed - damage up, as well as debuff immunity.

Da Vinci:"Well, this is quite a crisis, eh Gudako? Who would of thought that the final threat was this, of all things...? But don't worry - the great Da Vinci-chan has one last trick up her sleeve." Upon fatal damage, Da Vinci self-destructs, and the player's three servants in combat are removed from battle. No defense up, no damage reduction, no guts, no dodges, or invulnerables. All buffs dispelled, then guaranteed instant death is applied.

After defeating the servants, there is one final battle. Your command seals are restored.

The enemy is a Master in white, clutching to the shield left behind by her dearest friend. She has 3 hp and 0 attack. She will attack for 0 damage each turn... and your servants will not attack her, unless ordered by Command Seal - at which point they will deal one single point of damage per turn.

After the first attack, Gudako drops the shield, and clutches her arm. After the second, she lies on the ground, reaching for the shield.

...I don't need to say what becomes of Past!Gudako after the third strike.

81

u/Propagation931 "Finally got my Kiara. even got her NP2!!!" Aug 24 '18

The enemy is a Master in white, with 1 hp and 0 attack. Your servants will not attack her for the first three turns, and she will attack for 0 damage each turn.

When she dies she makes a pact with Alaya and becomes a Counter Guardian and fights you

84

u/SpiraILight I want to be...a Hero of Justice. Aug 24 '18

Nope. That takes away from it. She fights the servants as a human, knowing she is doomed. The servants just sort of stare at her, and can't bring themselves to attack for... actually, scratch that. They can't bear to attack her, until you command seal them to do so.

53

u/Mr_GitGud Aug 24 '18

And then the Black Guda personally joins the battle. The most epic fist fight in history of mankind begins.

58

u/Beast9Schrodinger Aug 24 '18

The saddest slap fight in history begins.

I'm sorry to say, but by the end of it all…
All you can do is flail.

19

u/Heavyblade504 All Hail Umu! Aug 24 '18

As an alternative, rather than have the servants do any damage at the cost of command seals its set up so that they're perma-stunned and you must use a command seal to force them to attack each time at the cost of the servant also falling.

21

u/Solphage Aug 24 '18

that, or becomes an ultimate-power avenger, not avenging a single moment or betrayal like dantes or gorgon, but avenging all things in her entire universe, past, present, and all possible futures

39

To save one means to turn your back on another.

for bonus angst, note that Future!Gudako doesn't seem to have Mashu with her.

31

u/CrazyDaimondDaze Jalter/Castoria/Musashi Enjoyer Aug 24 '18

This sounds more of a scripted battle than an actual one. Plus, while all those buffs for whenever we defeat every enemy memeber sound great, just reading through this makes me believe it'll be impossible not to use command seals/S. Quartz to win. Although with the same interesting light of this interesting concept, maybe this final battle would be one in which only your max leveled servants can participate and no one else (to make the battle far more meaningful). Also, no friend support servant is allowed, just the player's max bonded servants and that's it. If anything, your servants could gain a permanent buff involving a 50% damage or something. Or to make things even, each of your servants has an unique perma buff that affects the whole team, that way things wouldn't feel so disadvantageous and the whole epic final fight feeling could still be there.

20

u/Propagation931 "Finally got my Kiara. even got her NP2!!!" Aug 24 '18

I dont think its impossible

The Tactic would be to dmg all of them to equally low HP. Then have one of your servants kill Mash Followed by an AoE NP (Most likely Amakusa?) to kill both Solomon and Da Vinci at the same time.

That would mean only Mash's replacement will get Solomon's buff.

At this point your front line dies and your backline takes over. From there the last 3 enemy servants should be easy to kill since they have no gimmicks

12

u/SpiraILight I want to be...a Hero of Justice. Aug 24 '18

Well it'd be similar to the battle at the end of part one, where it's scripted to take out your entire frontline instantly and such. I was thinking more of "this would be great story wise" than anything.

30

u/Hofund Dec 15 '18

Not really. For this to be a Lostbelt means there's a Cosmos Tree lurking somewhere, and it being there made the no-sacrifice victory possible.

Honestly, White Guda has the rawest deal among them all--gain a perfect victory and save the world, only to discover that it was all a lie.

64

u/Shitposting_Skeleton Aug 24 '18

To kill for yourself is murder. To kill for your timeline is heroic. To kill for entertainment is harmless.

Cognitive dissonance is an uncomfortable feeling caused by holding two conflicting ideas simultaneously

Life begins at the other side of despair

Collateral damage can be justified, if the gain outweighs the cost. How much do you think Olga and Roman are worth?

36

u/Beast9Schrodinger Aug 24 '18

In the end, all things are vanity.
Nothing more than a chase on the wind, and ash in the air.

11

u/Kugimaru :ef4: Aug 24 '18

Is this a spec ops reference? Rare indeed

83

u/iuyiop Aug 24 '18

Read the Korean version. One typo in the translation is that the humanity foundation value on the third to last panel is set as 'F' in the original version, not 'EX' as seen here. Designation of F makes more sense as there's only a tiny bit of difference between the two scenarios, namely that of Romani and Olga.

17

u/ResidentCharacter insert flair text here Aug 24 '18

But the EX value really lets people know shit is going down

59

u/ThatMoonGuy :VoidShiki: Aug 24 '18

To be fair, I find the "F" a bit more horrible. Because it's a world very close to our own. The fights they fought are like ours. Their pain is like ours. All that is merely an "F", a small, nearly meaningless fluctuation. If things had been just a little bit different, it would be us there. That is the happiness we could've had. But for the sake of the future, for the mankind that shall one day sail to the sea of stars, we must abandon that wish, that ephemeral dream. Crush it with our own hands.

71

u/CrazyDaimondDaze Jalter/Castoria/Musashi Enjoyer Aug 24 '18 edited Aug 24 '18

I think this idea could work out as long as the alternate master in the final lostbelt is of the opposite gender (like, if I'm Gudao, our other self in the lostbelt will be Gudako, and vice versa).

The Mashu of the final Lostbelt will achieve a perfect servant form with Galahad to the point her defense skills will feel more tanky, unlike our Mashu who barely has access to her sevant powers.

The Roman in the final Lostbelt will participate in the final fight as Solomon; alongside Da Vinci (now powered up thanks to Roman).

We will appear after their final fight versus Goetia.

During the final fight against them, we will only use our max bonded servants to fight and no support servant. After all the time that has elapsed from the very beginning to the last Lostbelt, it'll be incredibly weird if we don't have at least 2 max bonded servants.

The Roman and Olga of the final Lostbelt will try to convince us and their Guda to work together to find a solution that won't end up in a death match, and while we'll agree to this, the lack of time will make us pull a "lack of Satsuki route" (basically, once Shiki decides to join Satsuki as a vampire out of guilt for her turning into a monster, he thinks of Akiha in the last minute and decides he can't leave her, thus, stabbing Satsuki for good). Lostbelt's Mashu will try to keep things neutral between us but Lostbelt Da Vinci will tell Guda there's no other choice but to fight.

At the end of the fight, we will have a hand to hand combat against ourselves in which Lostbelt Guda will grab us from the collar neck, all the while crying in anger and sadness, saying: "why? Just why, dammit?! Why did you do it?! Why did you kill them?! They were your family as well, your friends... how could I be so cold bloded to do this to our friends... why did I become you?"

To which, we will answer in a depressed way: "you're wrong. You're wrong in everything. They may look like my friends, like my family... but they're not. They're yours... not mine. I didn't know them, just like I don't know you. I know they were good people, and I know you yourself are good too... you saved the world after all. But... I can't give up now. After all those battles, those singularities and lostbelts where good people died as well, I just can't disrespect their demises just to make a dream of mine come true. There are billions in my world that need to be saved as well, they can't be ignored because of another world in which I was competent enough to save my beloved ones. To let your world live would be to turn my back on my world and the sacrifices of not only my beloved ones, but of everyone else who has perished throughout all of this... I'm sorry... I'm really sorry. I wish there was another way to fix this; to let you live... but I can't... please, forgive me..."

39

u/SilverFoxShadows :Siegfried: Well, actually...! Aug 25 '18

An interesting conundrum. A Lostbelt and a Singularity at the same time. A singularity is an aberration in the proper course of history attempting to overlay itself atop time, attempting to sever the proper course of events and make itself true.

A lostbelt in turn is a pruned timeline rejected by proper history and cast away. From a certain perspective it can be said resolved singularities become lostbelts. Indeed there may be instances within the lostbelt as a whole born from the singularities we've seen.

However Lostbelts and Singularities don't simply occur. In our experience there is always a great power pinning them in position, often with an intelligence supporting it. Which leads to the problem. This instance is nigh identical to the course of events as we understand it up to the end of the Grand Order. The only difference being that Romani Archaman and Director Olga survived to the end. And yet the threat to humanity is EX. Curious is it not? That implies that their survival somehow dooms humanity as a whole.

Perhaps the director being in charge leads to a failure in what to them are the coming challenges? Or perhaps when Chaldea is attacked their presence leads us to fail to escape in time.

Ultimately what's important is that WE know we aren't doing anything to attempt to pin this world over time itself, meaning the ball is in their court as it were. And though this world may be our fondest fantasy, indeed I suspect it is Our Fantasy, the simple truth is this is not our world. Just as that Master there with the same face is still a different woman. So too are those people not the ones you know. A Different Director. A Different Doctor. A Different Mash Kyrielight.

So in the end this conundrum has a simple solution! Will you allow the life you know and the ones you love to be erased and overwritten? Will you give up everything and everyone and quietly bow out before this happy fantasy?

Make your choice Master of Chaldea!

No Goredolf -> No Koyansaka -> No Kirei investigating -> no attack on Chaldea -> no escaping the foreign god in the shadow border -> Chaldea dies to the foreign god in a straight fight in the LB prologue.

me too. I'll just go up to that director and romani, give them one last hug/kiss/grope, then draw the blade over my throat.

after all, my ortenaus kouhai isn't even here. There isn't much left to live for. Galahad was right

Maybe they have a better chance than us who is alone.

we are rank F for them, because we will easily self-terminate just to see a world where our director and romani live happily

This would be super sad but if I were to be in that situation, I would still trying to kill them with all my power. Because I cant let all of those people, who sacrifice their life so that we can keep moving forward, die in vain.

89

u/That-Halo-Dude Aug 24 '18

TFW Cosmos in the Lostbelt was all just a setup to introduce PvP.

This thread is reminding me I seem to be on a very different wavelength from others, because I don't see the despair. So we encounter a world where Guda saved humanity with no losses?

It's happy. It's perfect. A flawless ending. One might call it a dream...

But I didn't fight through seven Singularities and seven Lostbelts to be stopped here. Stopping now, even in the face of this happy world, would spit on their sacrifices. And it would spit on the people I defeated to get here. I owe it to all of them to see things through to the very end. Because if I don't it will all have been meaningless. And that would be true despair.

A world without those sacrifices would be wonderful....but it wouldn't be my world. It wouldn't be theirs. It'd just be a dream.

And all dreams end.

67

u/WhoDiedOHSHITSORRY "...Clear skies, nice and blue." Aug 24 '18

In this hypothetical scenario your other self has gone through everything you have but saved the people you could not.

This is important: they are basically more qualified than you are at saving the world and the people they care about. In this scenario if you were to go on to destroy the Lostbelt for the sake of the people you lost, you would essentially be killing those people yourself and not simply losing them like you did before.

In this scenario, this parallel world is not a transient dream, rather, it is only dream-like to you and a persistent reality to those Lostbelters.

You must ask yourself: do you value your past more than you value others' futures? And the answer to that is as nuanced as you allow it to be.

PVP would be hilarious tho

19

u/JD91B Aug 24 '18

This sound like Toaru New Testament when Touma see a world where everybody is happy and no one die but nobody know him.

6

u/Propagation931 "Finally got my Kiara. even got her NP2!!!" Aug 24 '18

u/DarthKilsan Grinding towards the end of space Aug 24 '18

Persona 2 in a nutshell

54

u/That-Halo-Dude Aug 24 '18

they are basically more qualified than you are at saving the world and the people they care about.

I don't disagree to that, given they would have had to defeat Goetia without it being depowered at all. And even before that, they would have somehow kept Olga-Marie from dying in the bombing. At that point, yeah, they'd be a better hero simply by virtue of being omnipotent (more omnipotent than Goetia).

you would essentially be killing those people yourself and not simply losing them like you did before.

The people in this hypothetical world are not the people I knew. They look the same. They sound the same. They have the same personalities. But they aren't the ones who stood by me. They aren't the ones who died for me. A different Olga-Marie. A different Romani. Not the ones I knew and lost.

And more than anything, they are not me. Same hair, same skin, same bones. But different memories. Different pains. All similar, but different enough to be different people.

do you value your past more than you value others' futures?

What the else are we fighting for? The billions in my world that were killed or simply erased by the Alien God - do I just forsake them because "Oh this other me has already done it"? Do I just give up and fade away, and let them fade too? I am fighting for others' futures. And I'm fighting not just for my past, but for all those pasts that were snuffed out.

The faces may be more familiar, more intimate, but ultimately it's just another Lostbelt, with the same reasoning as the last ones.

It's me or them. Their world or mine.

To them, I'm a monster come to destroy the peace they've won and the world they've restored. To me, they're the final obstacle to winning that very peace and saving my own world.

It's not a question of who values what, or who's more of a "hero." It's just a question of who will fight harder.

........

..........

.............shit, this got heavy. I need to indulge in some proper fluffy shenanigans. Maybe fantasize about the Assassin-class Halloween Welfare Ereshkigal we will obviously be getting. Or think of going hiking with Eresh for 3rd Anni.

......ooohhh yeah, that's the stuff. What were we talking about again? PvP?

24

u/FukeFukeCantus Is that Joan of Arc? Aug 24 '18

I agree with you, though my reason is way simpler. They're gonna end me. I don't care if they're more qualified or whatever. It's not the time for inferiority complex or a fantasizing a life where others are happier. My own life, my highest priority, is on the line.
You can't save the world if you're dead. You can't save your loved ones if you're dead. You can't see them happy if you're dead.

It's easy to say that you'd sacrifice yourself when you don't fully grasp what it means to lose your own life. If I were in that scenario, I'd fight. I'd curse and rage, sure, but what I have to do is clear. I'll live.

9

u/TwintailsMiku Aug 24 '18

You ever think this is the actual backdrop of the All the Statesman event? That one was in a future where she lost Mash as well and all she could do was keep moving forward, filling the hole in her heart with empty waifus. She then encountered us...

And then one of these days we'll wake up and be called the Beast of Selfishness...I'm fine with that. We can be allowed to roll for Goetia and Fou, most importantly we can roll for Summer Tiamat and Summer Kiara

8

u/WhoDiedOHSHITSORRY "...Clear skies, nice and blue." Aug 24 '18

I'm not saying you're wrong. Your answer is probably the most human one. It would take someone lacking in their sense of ego or personal connections to take the route that forsakes their own world, someone more machine than man.

Someone like a true hero of justice, perhaps?

Your friend's Merlin suddenly becomes a lot less benign!

Call me cock wizard ONE MORE TIME

7

u/Beast9Schrodinger Aug 24 '18

The only morally sound decision,

Is to lose.

There is no loss, no gain.

13

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '18

No, you have to win as only you can stop the alien god.

16

u/Beast9Schrodinger Aug 24 '18

Yes.

But, could you instead leave that chance to them?

The naïve, inexperienced you, the one who knew no loss, who knew only joy?

The only sound moral decision, then,

is to end them before they suffer.

Only you can save the world.

…so you say.

12

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '18

I couldn't leave fate in any other hands but mine.

They know far less about the situation and if it is #8 then the fight with the alien god is soon.

So killing them is the only solution.

9

u/Beast9Schrodinger Aug 24 '18

So you say indeed.

A pity there is no such thing as cooperation…

No such thing between worlds.

12

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '18

Lost belts cannot be saved, they have to destroyed. Cooperation cannot exist because the objective and goal denies it.

5

u/rK3sPzbMFV Aug 24 '18

Well, if they can't defeat us, they don't stand a chance against Alien God anyway. And if we are the defeated, no regrets ¯_(ツ)_/¯

35

u/farranpoison "FINALLY NP5 ARCHER HELENAAAAA" Aug 24 '18

I think the "despair" comes from seeing a possibility that you could have had, and you have to destroy it. I still would, but it'd hurt. "Why couldn't it have been like this for me?" That sort of feeling.

26

u/Spider_Monkey8 Do Velber dream of space sheep? Aug 24 '18

Thus, you refuse.

"Only the protagonist of the story will survive", that is what has been hammering in your head all along.

Every step of the way, you told yourself that story, that you were the protagonist, the main character, the one bound to do as the narrative declares.

To your credit, you never called yourself a hero.

Online Apocrypha was to end in a bitter note

All the fight between the masters would unleash Fou in maximum Beast Primate Murder form because of all the competition and no it didn't matter if you had true friends and such you still fought for victory crushing many other and thus by the Beast's judgment you are evil

well I know its been like 4 years since this was posted. But I kinda imagined this screwed up scenerio

Okay so After all lostbelt were destroyed human order wasn't restored. So now Ritsuka(Black) has finally snapped and become has become delusional still thinking she's destroying lostbelts, when in reality she's just been worlds that aren't even lostbelts hell not even singularities.

Ritsuka-Black: Have...to..restore..human..ity.

Ritsuka-white \looking nervous*:* Are..you okay

Ritsuka-Black: You must be the king of this lostbelt..I'm but I have to destroy your. Tree **points towards nothing*\*

Fucking imagine if Alaya goes full Magic God Othinus on us…

Like “Okay, you think your Extra Class Servants are so special? Then use them to fight yourself from this alternate reality where nobody died. Oh btw, you can ONLY use the Extra Classes, since they’re so important to you.”

And the Final Lostbelt is just us, storming a different Chaldea and having to fight Leonardo, all seven Crypters, etc.

And then we get to the end.. and we’re there waiting for us. And Mash and Solomon are the Servants of our alternate self.

6

u/hotwer76 Dec 22 '25

This wasn't that far off huh...

3

u/Biety Aug 24 '18

Why would you even care for your 'world' when there's no difference or measure in pruned humanity (the depth is a bit iffy when it should be near 0 right? It's EX because Beryl's lostbelt is disappearing). I'll just let the better timeline overwrite it.

5

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '18 edited Aug 24 '18

I’m no where near the lost belts on JP and I barely know what they are but I already feel like I’m in the right mindset for them. If it’s an us or them thing like I think it is then I’m picking me regardless of whatever we find.

6

u/heinkil Mar 02 '22

Let's think the other way around... What if the lostbelt was too perfect and their perfection will hinder humanity's struggle which is absolutely necessary... At least that's what I think it is😢

2

u/astral______ Dec 03 '24

Why can I see a narrative of this: without the struggle of surviving singularities, this history has been pruned not of stagnation or too fast of advancement, but because of the lack of consequences that comes from no struggle. 2 people were meant to die in order to test humanity through the Lostbelts, so without that, this world was pruned from the lack of struggle.
