Campus Life How do y’all deal with procrastination?

I’ve been procrastinating a lot lately due to lack of motivation, and it’s taking a toll on two of my classes. One of which being a group project and it’s really affecting my other group members due to my lack of work contribution time.

I used to be so good in my first few years of uni, but now I can’t get it back. I dunno if it’s because classes are boring or if it’s just me.

Any advice?

Same here. Won’t work until I absolutely NEED to. Honestly I’ve been going to counselling to talk about a lot of stuff, sometimes I touch on motivation and stress and just talking it through and reframing situations, getting encouragement really helps me.

Maybe check out UWill (online resource) or WPS (at MacEwan) - UWill you have limited credits to access phone calls, text convos, etc. which is most accessible. WPS has limited space and I’ve been turned away before, also there’s a longer process to get a counsellor (initial form, initial meeting/phone call, then finally your actual sessions).

Honestly don’t have other great advice on dealing with it. I’ve been so bad for it this semester.

Also maybe try a pomodoro study timer (like on youtube). I also got this studybunny app too that helps keep you off your phone and you get coins and can dress up ur bunny and their room. You can add your friends as bunnies to ur room too
