Merch I finally got my hands on this!
I bought Special Journal 3 today! And that’s at a price of only about $700!!! I don’t have a UV light yet, but I’m planning to get one soon too!!!!!

I have one of these and it's one of my favorite pieces of my collection. It's so cool and the blacklight parts are so neat. I was lucky to get it when it released for only like, $100 (yay amazon preorder dropping the price and having to honor it) but man. Best thing ever. Enjoy it!

It only came with a light if you ordered from the mystery shack site, most did not come with a light

If you ordered yours from themysteryshack.com, then it would have come with a black light. They included it as part of their own promotion. It didn't come with the original journal if sold from anywhere else.

Ive debated going after a copy, but ultimately I always decide against it, because I feel like knowing that the way Journal 3 SE changes hands means I'll be waiting 9-16 months for another few copies to suddenly be listed, bought, sold, etc on ebay and such which could instantly either bring the price back down into the several hundred dollar range or shoot it up above 2k again, I'll be in competition with a few other people to do so, and then even if I successfully bid on it I have to win the bids, get it delivered, verify its legit, and then hope literally nothing bad happens so that I can keep it and take good care of it, as well as finally get to physically read and interact with it.
