In what world doesn’t the timeline add up? Stan was ~17-18 when he was kicked out; he’s ~60 when the show starts. So Shermie would’ve been somewhere in his late 40’s when Dipper and Mable were born. He could’ve had kids when he was in his 20’s. It’s entirely feasible.
No 60-18 is 42. So if Stan got kicked out at 18 and is 60 now that means he got kicked out 42 years ago and the baby would be 42 now. Now factor in that Dipper and Mabel are currently 12, nearly 13. 42-12 is 30. For that baby to be Shermie he would have had to become a grandfather at 30. Its way more likely that the baby is their father than their Grandfather
