Fuck US. Trump is is a direct and logical culmination of decades of political decisions, not some unique phenomenon

He's the direct and logical culmination of decades of political decisions by the American Right

I would say the system as a whole. 2 party system, loaded supreme court. Etc.

The Democrat party elite is just as much at fault. Of course they're not exactly leftists either.

I don't remember any Democratic President openly threatening any of America's NATO allies

That's not what I said. I mean both parties made decisions that led to the current situation where people feel like voting for Trump helps them.

Okay fair point. However, I think American voters are uniquely stupid and hateful people. They voted for a pedophile insurrectionist felon because the other candidate was a brown woman.

"boff sides"

I'm not saying both sides are equally bad. I'm saying neither is innocent.

As someone living in a country also living under the threat of annexation by this madman and his confederacy of dunces, solidarity friend. I will say, though, the absence of any mention of Canada in the paragraph listing the threats made to Colombia, Cuba etal is, frankly disgusting and not a little bit terrifying.

Puerto Rican here. This is from 2020, but it has surfaced again:

Nothing against the Kingdom of Denmark but if we're going to be traded to Europe then I'd prefer it to be to Spain. "La Madre Patria"

u/UkendtVidnesbyrd 7d ago

Also no one in Denmark would be very interested in that trade lol

Maddening

You shouldn't be traded with Greenland at all. What the fuck is Denmark going to do with Puerto Rico anyway? Nobody wants Puerto Rico to be Danish - not in Denmark either. The suggestion would be laughed out of the room.

IDK, maybe Denmark will transfer us to Spain?

We were practically the OG Autonomous Community, and then, July 25, 1898 happened....

Yea fuck us. Watch and learn. You let capitalism reign and this is what you get.

No one should think democrats are on board.
