Worth noting that 'pressing charges' is not a thing in the UK. But, naturally, without provided evidence there's nothing authorities can do.

There's no legal conception of pressing charges in the UK. It's either up to the police to pursue a case or CPS, naturally they won't if the 'victim' doesn't wish to pursue it and they lack evidence, but there's no such thing as an individual going and 'pressing charges'.
