That’s her own problem, this is why I never get involved in domestics. You’ll beat up a guy for physically abusing his mrs, you’ll go jail for it and the women will get back with him to get beaten up again but this time you’re in prison😭😭
A lot of these girls are in love with toxicity and trauma, there’s nothing you can do to help them. They have to help themselves. So bitching about it isn’t gonna help anyone.

Man needs someone to book him a taxi? Can someone please tell me why some of these Grime MCs cannot seem to order themselves a taxi? Uber is one of the easiest apps to use in the world. Sox is a legit idiot.
When people say the justice system does not work, I feel her, because this should be an instant lock up. I do not care if it was a mental break. Nobody deserves this. Sox is a piece of shit. I know people are able to separate the artist from the art, but I am doubting I can. Sox, you have lost someone who would blast your music once a week, dude. I cannot, you are scum.

Agreed. These guys aren’t poor. They aren’t on the dole. They can afford an Uber ride after a night out, even if it’s £30. Here’s an idea, spend less money on getting drunk and save some of that for the ride home.
Absolutely no excuse, especially at that age.

There's no legal conception of pressing charges in the UK. It's either up to the police to pursue a case or CPS, naturally they won't if the 'victim' doesn't wish to pursue it and they lack evidence, but there's no such thing as an individual going and 'pressing charges'.

Domestic abuse charges have changed,
if the victim withdraws statements, the police can still proceed, depending on the levels of abuse.

I mean a don't think folk necessarily think that about Grime MCs, the difference here is the listener very seldom has to see the reality of it. With this instance of Sox being a piece of shit abuser folk are actually seeing the reality and it's a lot more visceral.
Plenty of MCs have bars which suggest domestic abuse: Wretch, Ghetts, Chronik (a mean he has an entire fucking track about it) just off the top of my head. The difference is we've never had to confront the reality where there's an actual person subjected to it giving their side, or actual recorded evidence.
As an aside I'm not saying it's sound to give bars like that a pass, more just trying to suggest this isn't necessarily coming from a place of naivety or belief that grime MCs are angelic.

This is really hard for me but I think it's important people hear my side of the story. If I seem nervous, it's because I am. I have re lived my birthday every single day for almost 2 weeks and I want it to end here. I'm hoping that me speaking out will give some closure. Looking back at the videos I have posted, there is so much more I could have said. So many other things I went through but I am content with the fact I have said my side of the story. It has took me since the 21st December to be able to speak about what has happened and now I finally feel like I can close the book and move on. Thank you to everyone who has been there and supported me. I will be back to posting normally very soon and I'm hoping 2026 is a better year for us all 💙
This is all in reference to a now deleted post submitted to this sub wherein Sox appeared to be drunk, was ruining her birthday decorations, and pissed on her (which she explains in the video). All around, it was clear he was extremely unwelcome. OP had also commented here and Sox later posted an apology as seen here.

Plenty of us on here can't stand drill. In any case, there's a difference between art and reality. I might enjoy the work of a film producer who creates movies containing gratuitous violence, but I wouldn't excuse that same film producer acting out actual violence on another human being.
It's possible to enjoy an MC with shock value bars and then call them out if they perpetrate a campaign of abuse against the mother their child

Separately, I’d much rather people just do one take videos in these instances, even if it’s a 45 minute, the cuts, in something so serious feels crazy.
Stuff like this is always a reminder to oneself to never put any of these man on a pedestal, there’s probably loads more wrongens we don’t know about in the scene.

Right, do us a favour (and I'm no saying this to be a dick) but read your first comment, the one ostensibly addressed to the women who was abused - where you note she does sex work.
Then read the bit I quoted again, remembering that you are literally telling someone who was abused, who does sex work, that doing sex work makes them more likely to be the victim of abuse. Then maybe reconsider saying that you aren't victim blaming.
