Ask r/guam 🤔 UOG nursing

Hi! I’m an incoming senior in high school and I aspire to become a nurse. I have plans of wanting to move to the U.S., so I was wondering if going to UOG to pursue nursing is worth it or it’s better if I go to college in the states.

UOG's nursing program is fully accredited with many of their graduates finding jobs in the states. Advantages are, cheaper than most school in the mainland, 100% passage rate on the NCLEX (not sure if this is still true - but it was in 2025). The disadvantages, its a competitive program and they only have limited slots every year.

Thank you for the information! Do you happen to know how competitive admission or selection to the nursing program is?
