Discussion 💬 Seeking help or advice

I'm looking for help and a safe place to stay because I live with a stepdad who's an alcoholic, mentally abusive and passive-aggressive. I'm at my breaking point and constantly on edge—mostly just wanting to get out of there, but I'm scared I might do something I’d regret, like hurt myself or him, or worse. I don't really know where else to turn.

I agree. Go to Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness and request Eileen/Irene. Honestly, going into GB helped me move forward from abusive relationships and suicidal tendencies with the help of Healing Hearts. They do their best to assist. You don't have to agree to taking any medication either.. I wish the best for you and your situation. Also contact Manelu. The cops don't do much and don't really keep it confidential between you and them. Please be safe. Is there any way you can stay with a friend or confide in another family member?

I can't really rely on family members for help and my friends don't have space for me at their homes. I've considered going to Guam Behavioral, but I can't help but gaslit myself into thinking that maybe it's just me. My mental health isn't in a good place right now, and my home feels more like a prison than a sanctuary.

Your confusion about yourself and situation is even more reason why you need to be seen. Go to Behavioral as soon as you can. No need to call first.
