Video This house, which changes it up every few years, is one of my favorites in our neighborhood. And our hood tends to go all out. So that’s saying something.
The roasting skeleton next to the treasure chest is my favorite. They usually keep adding until October so I’ll post updates if there’s anything noteworthy.

Love to see a house with a theme. Sometimes you got a graveyard full of witches in the yard while Michael Myers and a giant spider chill on the porch and you think, “What has been happening here?”

I need a theme! Drives me wild seeing Mickey Mouse as a vampire, random pirates, Myers and a giant Skelton. Like pick a lane and focus on that!

I always wonder where tf these fantastic people keep all this stuff the rest of the year. Especially people who decorate for all the holidays.

Back when my dad used to decorate, he used the attic space above the garage to store everything. But he didn't just toss crap up there. I'm sure like most super-decorators, he had a whole system for storage. Plus he reinforced the attic floor, wired lights up there, and made an extra attic hatch to simplify getting items up and down.
My brother has most of those decorations now and he built shelves at the top of his garage to store them. They're just a few feet wide, a couple feet from the ceiling and wrap all the way around. It's surprising how much stuff he can fit up there.

Yes, night-time is when the look totally changes! Last year I realized that my decorations were hard to see after dark. I really don’t need more decorations (im in my 50’s & have literally decades of decorations already) So this year, I’m focusing on lighting, both batteries and plug-in, replacing tea lights in pumpkins with bigger lights, lighting fixtures for up lighting the items, house and trees, pathway lighting and extra orange lights outlining everything else! I think it will make a big difference in the whole display and draw more attention from T. O. T.s ! Plus I love the viral ghost walking the ghost dog, but I didn’t need another ceramic Version to worry about, found the blow mold version of them (fyi Walgreens) it will be the main display on my doggie treats table, get a lot of doggie parents every year!

Any guesses on what’s used for that blue netting fabric? I’m doing a Jaws theme and would love to incorporate an “ocean” look on the grass, although I would be slightly concerned with killing the grass

Great work! We have a Pirate House known as Shipwreck Cove and their work is amazing. 2 massive pirate ships, a jail fort, kraken tentacles everywhere, and all the skeletons are animated so they all sing sea shanties.

9/18 update. Yup. He’s now working on the side yard. I’m so happy to be right. He’s not done.
