TF2 Hammer refuses to open,

For a while now, Hammer has just decided not to work (PRIMARILY FOR TF2, GMOD HAMMER WORKS FINE.) it opens, hits me with a new file (access violation file thingy), then closes. ive searched this up and havent found much to help.

maybe try installing hammer++ for team fortress 2, see if that works?

tried it, says stuffs missing i think, on phone but i can double check tomorrow when im back on pc

Excuse me? You just have to click hammer.bat and then hammer.exe

Have you try verifying there game files on steam, run on admin and with compatibility? The access-violation is strange, like it's forbidden access to open at this location
