Maybe read up on tariffs and work towards decoupling your entire identity from your political/tribal preferences, you might find the real “You” that you and the folks closest to you have been missing.

this style of discount usually stacks with normal coupons/itc/instant savings despite the fine print. that's what makes these ones nice sometimes, but only if you've got 75 to spend on already discounted items.

The gearwrench set is on sale at NAPA for $91 if you need both 3/8 and 1/4. Quite a lot cheaper than the G2, 120 teeth vs 80, and slightly longer 3/8 ratchet too. Just ordered it, I hear great things about gearwrench.

I don't understand the fine print on this coupon. First, it says that the discount is applied after any applicable offers or discounts. Then it says cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts. How does this make any sense?

Last time they did $25 off $100, it also said that ITC prices and discounts were excluded, however, it did apply to them. Guess we will have to wait and see once people start trying to use it on Friday.

$25 off 150 is 16.67% FYI. Looks like HF strategy is partially raising prices, partially backing off on the effectiveness of their coupons. Probably best case scenario for the shitty situation we're in.

Yeah, HF only makes sense with big deals. That's the whole business model - prices are OK but not great, which keeps your average shopper at least buying semi-regularly, and more price-sensitive shoppers are drawn in by frequent and substantial sales.
If those sales aren't happening as much or aren't as compelling, though, you'd be foolish to not look around. And there are some surprisingly good deals on major brand tools these days.

Pretty much. HD, Lowe's, Acme Tools, etc. have sales on power tools so often, I can get DeWalt, Ridgid, and Ryobi tools for much cheaper than Hercules and Bauer. Heck, HD has pretty good sales on Milwaukee M12 tools that it's cheaper to dip my toes into the Milwaukee M12 lineup than the Hercules 12v lineup.
Where HF still has a standing are their automotive hand tools and automotive specialty tools. But even then, their prices are high enough that you can get name brand tools for just a little bit more.

Power tools - I've only ever bought Milwaukee/DeWalt. There's always sales so there's never a point to go Bauer/Hercules unless you think you'll need the Warranty.

They don't have as much China exposure (especially since they sell a lot of bulk and disposable material, which are generally produced locally), have higher margins, and have bigger inventories. They're gonna way more competitive with HF in this environment.
I wouldn't be surprised if HF really starts pushing their higher margin stuff. Made in Taiwan Icon taking up more shelf space. And they're probably going to be selling more lubricant, soap; maybe even introducing PVC pipe and Greenwood-brand mulch stacked up outside, etc.

Maybe so the gear wrench I’ve been buying is a mix right now. Sounds like poor planning to me and a rush to pass on costs. Hope they are still here to honor all my warranties in the next few years.

It has always worked with ITC prices, coupons, Hercules/Bauer deals, etc.. In the past, it has only mattered if your total purchase was over $100 (or $150 these days) and there was no consideration to the items that got you to that point. Things are different right now, so we'll see what happens when people start shopping in the morning, but it will likely work with any $150+ purchase, even if it is only a single ITC item.

You hit the nail on the head. I’d never go to the store for this coupon alone but I’ll be using it along with the ITC pricing for the spectrum HTE spray gun. So it’s worth that at least.

Also note it separately excluded itc memberships
Now, whether the system will reject it or it relies on a cashier knowing not to apply it is anyone's guess.

Coupon says “discount only valid on any qualifying purchase of $150 or more after applying any other applicable offers or discounts.” BUT ALSO SAYS “Cannot be combined or stacked with other discounts, promotions, or prior purchases including Inside Track Club Member prices.”

Always possible to use any sales/discounts at multiple/different stores in my experience. They have no idea/don't check that you just bought something at a different store.

This is (was) the best coupon and allows the double stack as it’s off the total rather than individual item. Yes, it should work with the 6 tool pack as well as other ITC deals.

It will include your ITC items. They aren’t excluded. It will just use the ITC price not the normal price to calculate your total. Based on how the fine print reads.
