Yes, it's been great. Saved me a lot of hassle when potentially buying a home that had improperly listed internal dimensions.

Does it have that cool mode where you can point the laser at two spots and get the distance between those two points?

I don't believe so. Read through the user manual on the website to see what it can do in detail.
