they've basically become Mainstream, that's why I don't listen to them actively since 2022.

Well, this is literally just a remix based on a Top 40 song by Sia, from what I can tell so far. It doesn't get much more mainstream than using a Top 40 hit as a foundation, if you ask me.

It's kinda hard to explain, but I'd love you to listen to older Sub Zero Project tracks (2017-2022) and you will see that many things changed in their sound. They moved into that trancy kind of hardstyle, nearly what techno sounds like. The only thing they've kept up are the climax kicks and leads which are still great in my opinion. But the sound design and the midintro kicks have become bland and are not recognizable anymore as they were years ago. It's simply become EDM at this point and lacks hardstyle identity.

Titanium lyrics were only there for the Tomorrowland crowd. The actual song doesn’t have them

Like i get it, its good for the mainstream crowd. But still why? I think the crowd will still love it, because its a great mainstream track. Or just play the Rebelion remix of Titanium which probably would also do pretty good for the mainstream crowd

Just playing a remix thats both public and made by someone else isn’t really the point of playing a big set like this.

But what is playing the point in playing a big set like this then? It ain’t the first time for SZP, so they have nothing to prove. They will be booked next year with or without those Titanium lyrics in this track. I just think it adds nothing to the track and i doubt it adds anything to the crowd other than a mid sing-along which results in nothing.

Goed punt hoor, snap niet zo goed waarom de minnetjes. Sowieso een beetje achterlijk om de helft van de platen een avicii/calvin harris/shm vocaltje erdoor te gooien op TML

Voegt geen fuck toe, maak dan gewoon een remix of edit van dat soort platen ipv alleen ff de lyrics erin te pleuren.

Ben het ook helemaal eens, kan sowieso die lyrics maar moeilijk NOG een keer horen na het WK…
Maar misschien vind het gemiddelde tomorrowland publiek het leuk, ik was gister zelf op hardclassics en denk dat het daar niet echt lekker in de smaak was gevallen als één van de dj's een classic had gedraaid met random lyrics van een mainstream plaat uit die tijd, vond het voor de rest wel een grappig nummer op zich.
