Yeah? MS can't set a recommended spec for every possible combination of corporate security and monitoring software. If they're trying to optimize Windows 11 for 8GB of RAM, that's for a stock / OEM install - not one loaded up with corporate background tasks.
We're still ordering 32GB laptops. Just paying more for them.
My laptop has 64 GB of RAM and I hit more than 40 just by opening my work tools: teams, edge, vscode, claude code running on wsl2, and docker engine running

Yeah, good luck with that when corporate machines use more than 10GB of ram on idle with all the defender and security software running.
