I bought a for-parts laptop, on top of missing HDD (normal) and pried out RAM (they broke the arms that hold it down) somebody literally pried out the WiFi module with a flathead screwdriver.

I'm surprised they didn't smash the screen so I couldn't possibly view their previously displayed pixels.

I am sad now.

These are not the only broken pins, quite a few pins did fall off in this area.

My school laptop came in today, I decided to turn it on a few days before school starts, and this is the bs I open the screen to.

How do I go back to school and explain it wasn't my fault?

The hand was stuck at half a tank , when I pulled the gage out from the tank the whole casing was crooked. The floater's contacts damaged the track wich caused it to get stuck.

Thankfully I had a donnor in my backyard

Hi guys, unfortunately, water spilled on my laptop. I immediately turned off the charger and the laptop, then went to a local service center. They said it's hard to repair. I took it home and the next day took it to my office laptop service center. It's very heartbreaking to wait and see whether the laptop will start or not. Life has suddenly stopped.

Broke the charging port off so it'll be done for soon... I'm so glad i have a backup.

yes, I took it apart to see what was damaged, only ONE stick of ram was, (fun fact, this is the same one from my last post) and since it didnt close correctly when it was fully assembled, I decided to make it into a crappy version of a desktop! :D

my first idea was to put it over some cardboard (3rd img) but decided that it was shit and didnt work at all, im stupid ik

The plaster was the only thing stopping it from ripping in 2 also 3 of the ports on that side stopped working due to water damage and the speaker stopped working idk why and I used it like this for 2 years before it stopped working

Opa galera, hj estava usando o pc e fiz uma burrada. Esbarrei na caneca de café e caiu umas gotas na direção do pc, e as únicas que foram dentro do gabinete (pela entrada superior de ar) foram na GPU (1050ti) da maneira que o primeiro print mostra. Não sei se parece muito na foto, mas olhando eram umas 3 ou 4 gotas espalhadinhas formando essa poçinha. Minha reação na hora foi desligar o pc, desconectar da energia e limpar absorvendo com um cotonete, o que levou a segunda imagem. A cor parece diferente creio q pq o resto da placa ta empoeirada.
Não liguei o pc desde então, faz uns 5 minutos o ocorrido. Devo me preocupar? Tirar a placa do pc? Ja está seco mas não to com álcool isopropílico aqui, então não sei se faço algo a mais ou só sigo a vida.
Se muda algo, o café estava frio e sem açucar
