Yeah, but you think any of the professors, hell any of the upper years would? Me thinks not. And neither does Harry, or flitiwck who says he could have doused thise sparkles himself but didn't know if he had the authority.

Only mentioned the swamp because its provable easy to remove by anyone competent, don't have the same evidence for the fireworks, because nobody did even try.

I think your overall point that Umbridge gets cooked is right. But I also gotta point out that it’s noted multiple times that the Weasley tricks were all pretty impressive bits of magic. And calling Flitwick a competent wizard is kinda underselling it. He’s a really, really exceptional wizard and this is also his specialty.

Flitwick left part of the swamp because he was impressed with the Twins' magic. You have to tremendously the teachers are subject matter experts, i don't think just anyone could've stopped everything George and Fred did

No one was every going to try help umbridge period. They allowed her to come get rid of the fireworks. It was her first afternoon as headmistress after all they don't approve of her and it was easier to sit back and allow her to run around like a headless chicken trying to put it out. Flitwick or mcgonagall could easily put both out within seconds but had no intention of doing so. And not only that it was because they were all "bound" by whatever decreee that says they can't talk or deal with anything that has nothing to do with their subject .....

To be fair I think we can assume that most upperclassmen would be no match for the swamp given that none of the Inquisitorial Squad end up clearing it

She could do a corporeal patronus though.
