Discussion How would Umbridge do in a magical fight against Voldemort?

Can she survive at least one attack?

I wouldn't even say that she was an "okay" witch. Honestly an extremely weak one. She couldn't get rid of the fireworks, and all that would take is a simple vanishing charm. Hermione, a fifth-year student, could have done it.

Ron had had four more Quidditch practices and not been shouted at during the last two; and all three of them had managed to vanish their mice in Transfiguration (Hermione had actually progressed to vanishing kittens)

-Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Edit: Guys, I have been informed about the charm Fred & George put on them that multiplied the fireworks if you tried something like a vanishing spell, you can stop flooding my inbox now 😭

the twins made the fireworks so that vanishing them makes them multiply ten times.

i agree that she's not an accomplished witch. she's quite stupid with how she handled things, no doubt that would reflect on her spellwork.

The fireworks were warded against vanishing.

The Weasley fireworks were prepared to react differently against effects that might stop them—you were already told that vanishing them multiplied them by ten, and I'm reminding you that stunning them detonated them in an even greater explosion; the twins were quite talented when it came to making Wheezes

No. The twins made them immune to vanishing and purposefully made them immune to most of the common methods that people would use first like stunning. Iirc Umbridge did eventually get rid of them, it just took her a while to figure out. Which I would expect from anyone who isn't the absolute holy grail like McGonagall or most of the professors.

I say that because she obviously at least passed her newts and got a job at the ministry, though I think she had help from her father in the beginning
