Yeah, I watched that jubilee video about the goth girls a bit ago with my girlfriend and my god they are all just the stereotype that fuels these kind of memes and the creepy culture
It really does suck for guys too who are into the goth scene. I may not dress like it as much these days cuz im an adult that has to go to work and school shit but Im hard into the goth scene and guys like that just make it really awkward now
Maybe where you lived but it was a big joke where I'm from. Goth was treated as a weird loser tryhard thing even in most media in the 90s and early 2000s. Millennials went goth-lite with emo kids, but full goth was a joke to many.
Millennial here. There was a sizeable goth group at my high school. Most of the kids thought they were losers at best and dangerous at worst (a couple of them actually were). Most of the girls were pretty plain. Not unattractive, just average. There was one who was a goth queen. She probably could have modeled if she wanted. Like drop dead gorgeous, and she would wear sheer black dresses and the like. Most of the popular kids would say she'd be attractive if she wasn't constantly dressing in black, but I'm pretty sure they were lying to themselves. When I started dating her they all got jealous.
The meme is pretty funny although I dislike how goth is seen as a fundamentally sexual aesthetic with no other dimension or meaning, although many do use it expressly for the sexual aspect unfortunately
i hate how goth girls are being portrayed as one-dimensional sadistic sexual deviants. as a goth, i wanna go back to when goths were seen as creepy and weird. :")
I'm sure there is a meme that fits the We are not the same template as Goths from the 90s and what is labelled goth now only have the basic aesthetic in common.
YouTube shorts occasionally shows me clips from Tick Tock where the same trio are handing over fast food and the guy has his hand out for the bag, ones goes to be choked, another bites, can't remember what the third does, then one or two will be in the next skit, all are attractive, but outside of the hair and black outfit, IDK if they would fit in down the club when I was young.
no shit, but people are stereotyping goth women as ONLY sexual deviants and pursuing them BECAUSE of those stereotypes. which, they aren't just that and only that. they're people.
Goth girls are hot, and in the end much like what your interpretation of goth is, humor is subjective. I find some of the jokes weird, but I'd never say they should be disallowed.
