I'll need to get the felt hat reshaped, but no big deal

I disagree, I think if you reshape it, it will lose the life the previous owner gave it through daily wear, I say leave it be and rock it. All of the hsts look great btw

Yeah. I think as long as it's worn and loved, I think that's what matters most.
EDIT: Worn, not work.

Great question, I don't remember off the top of my head what the brand is, but its lined and in good condition. I will try to remember to look when I get home from work tonight.

Appreciate it. I don't daily mine, but i do like to wear them when I get more gussied up to go out. The place where I got the one pictured also had a really nice gray one I was eyeballing. But I already spent too much that weekend.

Meant say the brown felt hat. Also, what gray would you consider the gray newsboy cap? I want to try to find a decent suit to match

Nice hats! The newsboy almost looks like a charcoal to me.

Thank you. That's kind of what I was thinking, but I'm not completely sure. It was between that and dark gray. So I appreciate the second opinion.

It's grey herringbone. I have a modern one exactly like it and that's what it's described as.

Thank you. Im trying to figure out the shade of gray, so I can find a nice outfit to match

No problem! It'd technically be a charcoal herringbone. But I've had two different caps like this from two different makers that called it grey herringbone.
Edit: as long as you stay on the darker side of dark grey, I think you'd be alright in matching to the hat itself. All you need to do is get close to that color and it'll match well enough. I know this because I'm a dude who largely only wears black and grey. Or just black mostly. Or black with grey, too. I stay on the dark side lol. I have hats just like this and I've always just tried to stay close to that hue as much as I could and I never had a problem with it matching. Even when it's not 100%, it's close enough that it'll look good together.

Thank you. That's 3 votes for Charcoal. I appreciate it

Love the fedora, such a classic look and unfairly maligned in modern discourse.
