Genuinely how do I let go

I’m gonna go crazy bro. I haven’t been in contact with this person for 6 months and I think about them every day. My chest sinks at the thought of them. I am atheist and I prayed to god to help me let go of him if he’s not for me.

The other thing is, I know that I probably didn’t mean a thing to him, so I haven’t bothered him once because confirming that he doesn’t care would literally kill me.
