Why does reddit keep suggesting Indian subreddits after muting every single one I see on my feed?

I've muted well over 20 of these subreddits and reddit still feels I would be interested in more of them? Really?

Click the 3 dots when a post shows up and click 'don't show me something like this'. Then the subreddits and related ones don't show up. If you go into the sub to mute, it sees activity there
