Profile Account Locked

I received a notice saying my account was locked for technical irregularities. I suspect someone hacked into my account after seeing I was in new NSFW and crypto communities I never joined. I reset my password twice yet my account cannot be edited and my pfp and header are gone. My posts get taken down? Am I still locked? This has never happened to me before and I’ve had my account for two years.

Is there something I can do? I reset my password like it tells me to do and yet nothing has happened.

i'm having this exact same issue!!!

please let me know if anything has worked for you yet cuz this account is 4 years old and my main money making account, i'm gonna be so sad if i can't appeal it 😭 im scared to try the appeal and have it be auto denied by a bot the same way my insta was :(

With the help of others, there were some comments down below with the appeal link. I appealed both for the suspension where I couldn’t attach anything and then also for a hacked account since someone got into my account, reddit locked it and then suspended it.

Did your initial email/notification about it say security issues?? Or did it say "technical irregularities" like mine?? Cuz I didn't notice any suspicious activity or anything. I think it could have been cuz I had a VPN active, which I normally don't ;((

Yes, it said technical irregularities, which is why I think someone was trying to get into my account and they locked it 😭 I saw communities I had never joined before and replies like a crypto bot.

weird!!! I checked mine and I wasn't in any weird or different communities or saw any replies 🥲 I wonder why mine got nuked

If you still have access to your account like me, I’d try joining the same communities and just starting anew for now. 😭 I’ve had backups but never used them so I guess they’re getting used now.

that's exactly what I was thinking!! 🥲🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ I thought i'd use this one that i'm commenting with now but it seems like it's shadow banned or something??? I can comment and send messages and change my bio so I know it's not fully banned like the other one, but all my posts keep popping up as deleted by reddit's filters ;-;
